We have lived and worked in Cowes for nearly 30 years. We have travelled the world but still love Cowes despite living in the Caribbean for over 8 years.
Grant & Ellen Vincent purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Grant & Ellen Vincent chose Cowes
We viewed many many properties over the last 5 years looking for THE apartment - and finally we found No 47. Its fantastic location sold it straight away and we still love it. We hope you will as well.
What makes this Apartment unique
Unique benefits - well its got to be its location and full panoramic windows looking over the marina, Solent and River Medina. Great location to view Cowes week yacht racing and the famous fireworks. Also check out our 15% discount on Red Funnel ferry fares!!! Please ensure that you request a unique discount code prior to making ferry reservation!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We enjoyed our four night stay in this great apartment, everything was just as or better than shown on the website,
the location is first-rate and proximity to central Cowes just a five minute walk. We hope to return.
A great place to stay, a great view of the sailing boats and the red funnel ferries.
A very relaxing apartment to stay in. New furniture was very comfortable to sit and relax in. Great location as it is only a ten minute walk into Cowes.
A nice apartment to stay in and very comfortable.
Review 13/6/19 John Joyce
fantastic location great views and very peaceful.
The apartment was excellent and well equipped and in a perfect position, particularly with the panoramic views of the harbour. Would definitely recommend it.
We arrived at this apartment on Saturday 20th April and our overall impression was WOW! Once the Ferrys started rolling in backwards and forward it got to be OH... However, it wasn't a deal breaker and we would stay here again and recommend it. That said, there were one or two downsides. The main bedroom mattress sloped off to the left (looking at the bed from the bottom) which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep, this is the only reason for 4 stars and not 5. Next day on closer inspection we discovered the base of the bed was broken and looked to have been sort of repaired. We had to put a spare duvet under the side of the bed to prop it up. Sadly on the Sunday I was taken ill and we spent Bank Holiday Monday at A&E. On Tuesday morning we went home and I spent the rest of the week in hospital having a ruptured hernia repaired. We can only comment therefore on three days! The second downside was the kitchen food prep utensils could do with updating and you definitely need a colander, even though the lids of the saucepans have drainage, the steam means you can't see what you're doing! One of the chopping boards was damaged quite badly on one side too and I wouldn't use it in case of bacteria. These are very small things and seem like tedious whinges. If we go back to resume our break we would like to stay here again.
Dear Robert Sorry to hear about your health problems which I hope have now improved.
Thanks for your review which was helpful as we were unaware of the bed issue which has now been rectified. For information the bed and mattress were newly fitted less than a year ago and were high quality fittings. It appears that part of the base frame had been damaged and was not obvious when making the bed up. We thank you for reporting this in your review and if reported at the time we would have arranged repair/replacement.
As regards the kitchen equipment we provide regular replacements and have added a colander to the inventory. In addition the apartment has just undergone significant upgrade to lounge furniture and decoration as part of our regular maintenance of the apartment.
We always encourage our guests to report issues they may find immediately to us so that we can hopefully resolve any issue that may have arisen during their stay and thus make their stay a more enjoyable experience. Hope to see you again soon. Regards Grant & Ellen
