This is a classic Carolina Beach Cottage that has been in our family over twenty five years. We completely redecorated this home in 2008 and everything is new and updated. Our family has enjoyed this home for many vacations and holidays and we have seen our four children grow up here. We now have six grand children and they enjoy it even more than their parents.
Location, Location, Location, when you think low country and Carolina Beaches, this is what you imagine. A wonderful four bedroom home that sits on the canal with a private dock and across the street from the beach. I don't care how bad of a golfer you are, you can hit a five iron from the front yard to the beach. You can also pull you boat up to the dock that sits 100 feet behind your house. If this doesn't appeal to you, then walk 300 yards to the beach club. You can lay by one of the three pools next to the Sandbar Pool Bar and have the staff bring you drinks and tell you when it is time to apply more sun tan lotion.
This is a family home, it has a 20 foot by 40 foot dinning room and family room that connects to the outside deck and grill area. A wonderful feature of this home, it is all on one floor so there are no difficult stairs to navigate for small children or older adults.
As you can tell we love our home and would love to share it with you. The accommodations are great and the location is unbeatable. If your goal is to be within walking distance to everything on the island and your family has ten or less members, this is the house for you. If walking isn't your bag, then a golf cart or bicycle will get you where you want to go.
If the sound of the ocean hitting the rocks keeps you awake at night or fishing boats moving up and down the canal bothers you during the day, then don't rent this home.

My mother-in-law, Jewell Parker, along with three of her friends purchased this home almost 30 years ago. They were all from Statesboro, Georgia and had visited Fripp on many occassions. The story goes that they invited their husband on a trip to Fripp, but they were all too busy to go. The four ladies returned home a few days later with a deed in hand and had paid cash for their beach treasure. My wife believes they purchased this home just to spite their husbands. I guess this is what happens when four women in their 60's go to the beach without their husbands. There is a lesson to be learned and my wife is not allowed at Fripp without me. After many years of wonderful family vacations and many bridge parties held by the previous four owners, this home was passed to our family in 2004. We live in Atlanta and are fortuant to get to visit Fripp many times a year. Four generations of our family have enjoyed this home and the great family experiences that are special to Fripp. We hope to pass this on to our childen in a few years and continue the memories.
Douglas Daniel purchased this house in 1980
The property backs up to the canal and has a nice dock for fishing, boating and Kyaking. Beach access is directly in front of the house and is 300 feet to the beach. You are only 400 yards from the beach club.
We provide the use of golf cart and the outdoor shower is a real treat for nature lovers.
The Easter festivities on the Island exceeded our expectations. The easter egg hunt was a wild seen and all the kids had a blast. The brunch at the Club was great and the sunrise service was very moving. This was our 3rd Easter at Fripp, but the first time we have rented this home. The location was great and the house was very comfortable and well furnished. The owner actually called to make sure we had enough blankets because the weather was a little cool. We will return and definetely stay at this home.
This is a wonderful house. Great location to the beach and sits on water for great fishing. Owner is very accommodating. We will rent every year!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Fripp! The owner was very courteous and helpful leading up to and during our stay. The home was clean, well maintained and appointed as well as centrally located. The beach and pool are an easy walk or golf cart ride away. We will be back!
3 generations of our family spent a week here and enjoyed every minute. The owner is wonderful to deal with. This property is in a very convenient location. The golf cart made it fun and easy to get wherever we needed on the island. We enjoyed steaming blue crabs for dinner caught from the dock behind the house. Deer were plentiful in the yard. This was our first time on Fripp, and we are looking forward to making it an annual tradition.
Location! Location! Location! Great family house close to the beach and a short golf cart ride to the pool. Fun for all.
We have stayed in this home on six different occassions. We obviously love it. It is one block from the beach. You can fish off of the dock. You can walk to the main club house. Great golf, tennis or a peaceful morning jog makes this a great place for an active vacationer. The Cabanna Club pool is a family favorite with the kids pool and bar and resteraunt. I enjoy grilling out on the back deck and having a cold beer. The kids feed the deer by hand. The house is centrally located on the island and perfect for a casual family vacation. Just the mention of going back get the kids very excited. The kids program "Camp Fripp" is amazing. our kids were so excited about all that they had done at "Camp Fripp". This is a great deal on a sweet little house. Love it, Love it, Love it!
We vacationed here last July and had a wonderful time. Our kids played golf, rode bikes, crabbed and even went to Camp Fripp. Our ten year old son really enjoyed the golf camp. Everything was very convienent to this home that is 100 yards from the beach and central to all the amenities on the island. We were not expecting the use of a golf cart that came with this house. The house was very clean and well decorated. We kept our kyaks on the dock behnid the house and were able to make great use of the canal that runs behind the house. We especially enjoyed cooking and dinning out on the back deck. The beach is easy walking distance and we were able to move back and forth during the day without feeling like we had to always pack up. The owner sent us a bottle of wine while we were there to thank us for coming and he ask us to post our review. I guess it worked, becaues I am writting this review.
Historic Beaufort is only 18 miles away and has great shopping and restraunts. Hunting Island is a State Park and is adjacent to Fripp with a wonderful light house and nice nature walks. In addition to the two golf courses on Fripp there are dozens of courses within a 30 minute drive that are off island.
