About Steve Thomas

I grew up in the summer time at Yellow House. At the time it was my grandmother's house. It has fortuitously remained in the family ever since. I am the 5th generation and my children the 6th generation to own and enjoy Yellow House. My family and I now enjoy it some of the time, but make it available to rent for others to enjoy.

Steve Thomas purchased this house in 1890

Why Steve Thomas chose Mid-Coast & Islands

Yellow House was purchased by my great, great grandparents in 1890 for $1,000. It was built on the site of a former shipbuilding yard and sits directly on the River. It is unique and has appeared on the cover of many magazines. It stands as a trademark house of Damariscotta on the banks of the Damariscotta River.

What makes this house unique

Victorian ambiance inside and out! Quiet, but simple, easy access to Damariscotta village.

Great family stay

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about our family stay at the yellow house. We fluctuated between 13-17 and had ample room for all. The back porch was a great gathering place for the entire family and games in the backyard were a must. I can't thank Steve for his hospitality. He communicated with us all the way through the process and answered any questions that we had. Daramascotta is a nice little town that offered lots for people to see.

That's again and I would recommend to all!
