Superb Getaway for Relaxation & Holidays any Time of the Year!!! We are on E Gorrie Dr. !! Cleaning is included in our Weekly Rate.

Upstairs unit with front deck facing the Gulf!! The Living/Dining/Kitchen Combination is open and faces the Beach.

The best description is Comfortable, Cozy and Clean Beach Accommodations with a Water View. Designated parking with two (2) spaces. Boat & Trailer parking allowed temporarily with special permission.

Our unit is one of five. Not all are rentals. Buildings were not originally built as condominiums. Responsible and considerate tenants are appreciated by all.

Commercial Laundry's are in the area, or use our shared laundry room. Conservative Hint: Dry your towels and re-use them.

The beach has protected Turtle nests May - October & all beach-facing lighting is kept to low levels per regulations in their interests. Also pets must be controlled and everyone must pick-up after their pets on the property and beach.

St. George has great restaurants within walking distance and is a great place to take your bicycles, strollers, golfcarts, skatebaords, etc.. One third of the island is a beautifully protected Beach & Bay Front park.

Historic Apalachicola has several award winning Restaurants, Antique shops, Waterfront establishments and numerous unique places to visit. Various kinds of Tours are available of surrounding estuaries, bays, botanical gardens, cemetaries, unpopulated islands, etc..

Great Little Place!

We absolutely enjoyed this place! Very clean and had all the amenities that we needed and more. The deck had a great view of the gulf which we took advantage of often. Will miss it! We love St. George Island and this is a great little place to stay. Hope to stay here again... sooner than later!

Owner's Response: That's what we love to hear!!! We appreciate feedback, both good and bad because, many times a departing guest doesn't inform of us mishaps. But we find out about it after someone else checks in who's been inconvenienced and/or doesn't want to be charged for something not their fault. I'm on my way down there now, the fourth maintenance trip in 2017 to make sure we're ready for our guests to have a great summer stay!! Debra

Great Place!!!!

Owner's Response: That's what we LOVE to hear! I just returned from my third maintenance trip this year, We have installed a new refrigerator with ice maker, a new dishwasher, new deck chairs, some new linens, etc.. I've spent a LOT of time cleaning, replacing, repairing, etc., to insure our guests have everything they need and hopefully will experience a worry-free stay. Of course things do happen which are out of our control but we always try to resolve things as quick as possible. Debra and Duane

OK but had issues

This was my second stay at this location. The first was back in October.

First stay was OK, not great but OK and good enough to book a second stay.

Some not positive things from the first trip.....furnishings and equipment (such as kitchen utensils and appliances) are beat up and old. Stains all over the carpet are also very prominent. The shower kept backing up and there was no drain cleaner made available so I had to go purchase some to stop the water from coming up over my ankles. One blind was broken and laying on the floor when I arrived and there was no blind for the front door. Numerous light bulbs were burnt out.

While all of those items were not deal breakers on me staying there again or effecting that stay very much they did not show much care or attention to the unit.

Now, the second stay was not good at all. After a 13 hour drive to get to the island I arrived to find the unit un-cleaned from the previous renter. Towels were all in the bathroom, used and either hanging on the tub doors or on the floor. Every bed was used and those sheets were piled up on the bed, dirty and unusable. Floors had not been vacuumed, there was left over food on the counters, dishes were left dirty. But the worst issue was the unit smelled SO BAD I gagged when I got there. The refrigerator and freezer smelled of old, rotten fish and that permeated the whole unit.

I had to take some dirty, used sheets off of one of the beds and launder them before I could lay down that evening. The shower also had to be cleaned so I could shower before laying down.

When I notified the owner after arriving of what was wrong she stated that someone stayed there from 11/28 - 12/5 and the cleaners said they had been there. The next day when the cleaners finally arrived they stated they cleaned the unit on 11/28 not 12/5. They blamed someone who did not have authorization to stay there for staying there and messing the place up. This happened, the cleaners stated, because a key is always left under a decoration on the deck. Not very secure...

The owner was supposed to make this up to me by letting me know when in the February - March time period I could come back and she would make me a great deal. Well, one month later and nothing. Will not stay here again!!!

Owner's Response: Most of what the guest stated is true, unfortunately, however there are a few discrepancies. First his stay began on Dec. 10th. And second, our guest was informed that I’d had to cancel multiple maintenance trips due to my unplanned personal issues, and other booking dates. And third, I asked what we could do to make it right with him while he was onsite, including a refund, but he requested a good rate on a return trip, which I agreed to. It is my fault that I didn’t send available dates to him as I promised which I deeply regret. However, I don’t understand why he simply didn’t remind me with a text or email…… We still haven’t any proof or resolution regarding the cleaning mix-up. I was told it was cleaned on 11/28 and had not authorized any stays afterward, in fact, I was planning to go to the unit myself that week. I did find out that my cleaning person had changed cell phone providers and was not having the best coverage which explained a lack of response I’d been accustomed to in the past. We never intended, nor did we at any time authorize a key to be left outside all the time. We’ve only used that process for example, for last minute reservations as a convenience to a guest from time to time. It is not, and has never been our intention to provide anything other than a great value and, 99% of our guests have indicated that they enjoyed their stay and had a great time. We are in the process of going through the unit to make all needed repairs and to make our unit wonderful for every one of our 2017 guests!!! I would still like the chance to make it up to him. I don’t want anyone to walk into that situation ever again!!!

Perfect for me and my fur baby!

The pictures do not do it justice! I was very pleased with everything in the unit! Really nothing negative to say! Great deck to sit on and watch the water, a couple of minutes walk to the beach, clean and very well stocked with kitchen items, spices, extra bath items and more! It is what I would have if I had my own place at the beach!

I went alone with my dog for 5 nights - we were both very comfortable and happy! Hoping to stay again next year.....or sooner!

Property was clean, comfortable and inviting.

What a gem! Effortless beech access where you can sit and watch the Dolphins. Island offers most everyday conveniences; groceries, gas, ice cream, eateries and beech store. Property was nice and open with a nice kitchen to cook in. Comfortable beds!! Nice deck area to enjoy the views. Plenty of parking. I would recommend this property and location.
