About The Owner

Family of 5 who love northern Michigan!

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2004

Why The Owner chose Michigan

a perfect setting off the track, but close to anything 'upnorth', large property with a 'buy me, you won't be dissappointed' message.

What makes this cottage unique

Nature wonderland; frogs, beavers, fox, eagles, sounds of howling (coyotes...wolves?) fish. hammock snoozes, completed books, campfires, smores, more fish, flowers, peace, 'on golden pond 'ambiance, cozy comfort everywhere, wood on floors and walls is serene

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your cabin is such a lovely place in all ways.

I was completely stressed out when we arrived and completely blissful when we left.

It was just right for my father and son too, who shared the upstairs bedroom.

I loved the dishware in the kitchen and all the green, yellow and orange glass accents. So pretty.

I left a comment. Hope it encourages others to stay at your place.

Nice Cabin in Northern Michigan

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Lily Pad for our family vacation we enjoyed our week. Nice cabin modern conviences, beautiful yard . A little disappointed how the lake shore is overgrown blocking the view, need to update pictures, and no WIFI was a inconvenience..

Beautiful home!

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful home. Great location for what we planned to do on our trip. The only disappointing thing was the cottage was kind of dirty. We read the journal the last night of our stay and found out the prior renter brought their dogs. . . fur was all over my grand-daughter when she crawled on the floor. I cleaned the cottage the first night.

Awesome stay at this cozy cabin on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at this cozy cabin on the lake. The cabin was well equipped with all necessities, including fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, bedding, towels, games, satellite TV, seating areas, large deck, and fire pit. The sunsets on the lake were amazing and the call of the loons could be heard. The cabin is centrally located with easy access to Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Petosky, and Cross Village, all within 20 minutes or so. There are lots of great golf courses and restaurants in the area. We golfed at Boyne Moutain Alpine, Hidden River, Crooked Tree, and Black Lake. The Brutus Camp Deli is a must go to for breakfast, all homemade and yummy! For dinner we went to Leggs Inn (Cross Village) for Polish dinner, Thai Orchid Cuisine (Petosky), and Woodwinds Restaurant and Pizzeria (Onaway). We spent one day at Mackinac Island and took the guided carriage tour, which was well worth it to get the history of the area. And of course you need to purchase some fudge from one of the 15 different fudge shops on the island. Highly recommend this cabin if you are visiting the area.

Picture Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and could not have been more pleased. The pictures do not show the true beauty of the cabin or area. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind from your busy life. We definitely want to return next year.
