Judy was very helpful and got right back to you. Nice condo everything you needed and a reasonable price.
Clean room with fantastic view, but a few things could be improved.
First of all, Judy was easy to work with. I would rate 3.5 stars if it would let me.
I'll start with Tidewater itself. The location was great and convenient to food and shopping. It's right on the beach and close to a small pass through from a pond/lake on the other side of the road. This creates a small pool between Tidewater and the condos to the left that kids loved to play in. (The water is dark in this "pool", but we were assured it was safe.). The biggest issue with Tidewater was by far the elevators. We constantly waited 10 minutes and sometimes more just to catch a ride. Everyone at Tidewater complained about the elevators. To make it worse, they constantly stop at floors where noone is waiting, because those people eventually gave up and took stairs.
As far as the unit goes, it was very clean and the view from the 9th floor balcony was fantastic. Not too low, not too high. While the room was clean, it was a bit dated. The carpet and tables were showing wear and tear, and like reviews from prior occupants we found the bunk beds to be fairly wobbly. In addition, the TVs are old, standard definition tube tvs. We didn't even turn them on, and usually don't except for rainy beach days; however, if you've brought an Apple TV, or camera, or any other device you're hoping to hook up through an HDMI cable, you're gonna be out of luck. Just standard coax cables and red/white/yellow inputs. Other issues included plastic bed liners under the fitted sheet. I get why the owner wants them there, but it makes sleeping in an already hot and humid environment even more uncomfortable. Lastly, the dryer took multiple cycles over two days to fully dry four beach towels and the kitchen is the least stocked of any unit I've stayed in the last 10 or so years. Very few knives, no corkscrew (we left one for future visitors), no scissors, no tools for cracking crabshells, and few Tupperware/storage bowls for storing things like a cut up watermelon. These issues, combined with the elevator situation are what kept the unit from getting more than 3 stars, but if those things don't matter to you much, I wouldn't hesitate to give the unit and Judy a shot. Sadly though, I don't think we could stay at Tidewater again for the elevators alone. Trying to keep young kids who are ready for the beach/pool to behave on a 9th floor walkway for 30-45 minutes a day (if you leave just twice) ends up getting everyone on edge by the time you actually make it to the water.
Vacationed July 4-July 12--2017
We just spent 8 nights at 915 Tidewater. it was absolutely fantastic and Judy was the easiest and most helpful person to work of all time, and we travel a lot! The view from the balcony in the living room and bedroom are beyond gorgeous; they are amazing. The unit is very clean, nicely decorated, has plenty of room for four people and couldn't be in a better location. It was our first time visiting Panama City Beach and rest assured, we return, hopefully next summer. And, we have already asked Judy if we are able to rent her 915 tidewater unit as well. It was the perfect condo in the most beautiful location we have ever visited. Jim
Loved property and location
My family stay at Tidewater was great. Only thing water not hot enough and the elevator was horrible long wait.
Judy was very nice and has a beautiful condo with a large balcony and a great view of the beach. Pier Park is within walking distance, easy beach access, and plenty of quick dining options nearby. The only negatives were the elevators are very scarce and a few Tidewater employees were not very friendly or helpful.
Great family vacation!
This was a beautiful condo and resort to stay at! Judy was so nice to deal with and answer questions! It was easy to book and get to in Panama! The only thing that wasn't the greatest was the bunk beds. They might need to be tightened. Overall a great place to stay and would stay again!
