About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This condo is not like all the rest! It has been upgraded with granite and tile, and as we live nearby, we keep it in great condition. In the living room is a 42' flat panel TV with DVD/Blue Ray player that will also allow you to stream Netflix if you have a Netflix account. There is a second flat panel TV with built in DVD in the bedroom. The mattress and box springs on the queen sized bed were replaced in May 2014. New carpet was installed fall 2015 and all new slate appliances in July 2016. On the second floor of Taylor's Crossing, in the Center Village at Copper, it is about 100 yards from the ski lifts and all the activities. The elevator down to the underground parking garage, first floor ski locker and laundry is just two doors away down the hall. Location is everything!

The condo is pet free and smoke free. The owner lives locally and can give you tips on some great adventures, restaurants and things to do.

Rates are listed below. We can take credit/debit cards or checks. Please note that we are offering an additional FREE night when you book a five night stay OR we have reasonably priced weekly rates. Take a look at the online guest book to see what others say about our condo. They give us high marks!

After a great day on the fun in the mountains, relax in the sauna or the hot tub overlooking the creek. There are plenty of choices for drinks and dinner within the village at Copper. Then back to the condominium for a little conversation in front of the fireplace or on the deck overlooking the creek. If you have work to do, high speed wireless internet access is available free!

If your stay is more than a couple of days, the laundry room is nearby and very convenient. There is also a fitness room one floor down.

The condominium is a non-smoking unit, immaculate and comfortable and it is well equipped. It has a deck overlooking the creek. It is nicely furnished in a mountain lodge theme. You will enjoy your stay!

The discount coupon books I offered in the past are no longer available as the company is out of business. However, Copper now allows people to buy season passes and four passes (great discounts) online. In the past, they could only be purchased in person. If you are over 65, check out the senior season pass prices. They are very good if you plan on skiing more than 4 or 5 days a year.

Good times at Copper Mtn.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful two weeks at Copper, skiing and staying at the condo. It was very comfortable and roomy for the two of us. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and steamroom at the end of a day skiing or snowshoeing. The kitchen was well equipt for the breakfasts we fixed and for the occasional dinner in. The two tvs came in handy when we wanted to watch different programs in the evening. Another good thing was the deep , soaking style bathtub.

All in all, the condo was as described and very close to the chairlifts. It was also nice to have the underground parking and not have to deal with a snow covered car when we drove into town for dinner.

Owner's Response: Lynne had great weather too! I wish I could claim credit for that, but the condo is all I have control over. We do try to make sure that it has everything people need.

Great location, well-appointed and working just fine. Loved it.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4: Husband and wife, 2 boys of 8 and 9 years old. We stayed for 11 nights at this lovely condo in Taylor's Crossing and enjoyed it a lot. For us it was a skiing trip.

The condo is very close to the lifts, Eagle and Flyer. They are just close enough to quickly walk there from the front door, but the condo faces to creek so it's very quiet. Just what we wanted.

It is steps to the center and the pond for playing in the snow. We looked at a lot of condo's but most were further away, this one truly has the perfect location

The ski locker works great to store your stuff so you don’t bring snow into the condo.

The condo itself is exactly what you need for a family. It is clean, well-appointed and everything is in working order. Hot water works well, the fireplace can really heat up the place but is on a timer so you cannot forget to turn it off. Brilliant.

The beds are just fine. It is of course never the same as at home, but we all slept perfectly.

The one question we had for Joanne she helped us with and everything simply worked out perfectly. We had an awesome vacation.

Thanks a lot

Difficult to sleep well

  • 3 of 5

Although there is a lot to enjoy about this location and property there are some issues. The main issue that we had was the uncomfortable, cheap queen mattress and pillows. It was so bad that we went out and purchased some pillows for the week. Sleeping well was out of the question. The humidifier that was provided also did not work. Overall, it is a nice unit and location.

Owner's Response: I would encourage anyone who has an issue with the condo they rent to contact the owner and let them know as soon as possible so issues can be taken care of right away rather than live with them for the week. As I don’t use the condo myself, it is the only way I know once I have done my deep clean and replaced things I see that need taking care of. I have the benefit of living 20 minutes away and am able to respond immediately. I will be replacing the pillows and humidifier today and am happy I was notified before my next guest comes in tomorrow. Mattress comfort is subjective, and while it is not a $2500 tempurpedic, it is relatively new and I have the same mattress in my home and find it comfortable. I am sorry that this guest did not. I will consider adding a topper to it. Thanks Becca, for the heads up!

I have to say from the moment I inquired about a reservation to the checkout, this was an amazing experience and stay. Thank you for going above and beyond, just the reservation. Will definitely be staying again.

About Joanne Hanson

The Owner is a recently retired local Realtor who knows the area very well. We live just a few miles away and therefore are able to keep the condo clean and updated. We can answer all your questions!

Joanne Hanson purchased this condo in 2001

Why Joanne Hanson chose Copper Mountain

We love to ski at Copper. It is a skier's mountain.

What makes this condo unique

Close to the lifts. It is about 100 yards away from the American Eagle lift. The unit is close to both the elevator and the laundry room, which is on the same floor. Watch the kids in the hot tub from your balcony! A heated, underground garage keeps your car warm and snow free.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to send a note of thanks for the wonderful accommodations that your condo in Taylor’s Crossing provided Diane and I during our week stay at Copper. The condo truly felt like a home away from home and the location couldn’t have been more perfect being right in the center of the village and 50 yards or so from the lifts. (paragraph edited out....they had trouble with their transportation being late) Finally getting to Frisco we had trouble locating the West Main Professional building because we went to a couple different properties that had “101” on the building for the address. We finally found the correct building with the help of the gentlemen at your property management group. Let me say that he was extremely helpful and couldn’t have been nicer. Exactly what we needed after a 16 hour set-back to our trip. (Owner's note: there is a map provided with your confirmation. Print it out and take it with you)

Once we got to the condo all of the anger and deflated feelings we felt melted away. Again the condo couldn’t have been nicer and the skiing for the week was perfect. We even got some “Spring” skiing later in the week as temps were near 50 degrees. The views and skiing from Tucker Mountain were amazing. The free Cat Skiing is such a great addition to Copper as this wasn’t there the last time I was at Copper about 9 years ago.

There really wasn’t one negative part to the week after getting there and much thanks goes to you for your help and the accommodations that you provided us. Thank you again for everything and we hope you have a wonderful second half to the ski season!

Copper Mountain is a world class ski area, but can be your home base to ski Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapaho Basin or Loveland. Most are within 20 minutes and Beaver Creek is about 45 minutes. Summertime offers hiking, biking, golf, fishing, rafting, sailing; and mountain activities. There is lots of history here as gold and silver mining boomed in the late 1800s. Nearest town is Frisco, about 5 miles away.
