2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, sleeps 4-5
Jeff is a Boston area architect/contractor and resident of Concord for over 20 years. He designed and restored the cabin on his own, working weekends over the course of three years. Initially, his wife was very reluctant, but once done, she is now the cabin's biggest fan. As it was designed and built for his family, Jeff has left no detail undone.
Jeff purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Jeff chose Granville
This area of Vermont is close enough to Boston (less than 3 hours), yet far enough to be in the heart of pristine Vermont. Jeff has been coming to this area since the mid 1970's and dreamed of having a retreat here for 35 years. Skiing is only 15-30 minutes away, and several romantic villages are nearby, giving endless options to explore and enjoy. Being on 10 acres and in Granville, it is also very private and peaceful. Often we just spend the weekend there, relaxing and basking in the cabin's great light and warmth.
What makes this Cabin unique
Although the existing cabin was in sad repair, Jeff saw the potential, the views, and had the vision, tools and skills to make it happen. It is now our favorite place to be and we have established many great relationships there. It is a very active and engaging community, which we love being a part of and welcome others to share in, too!

great cabin for a retreat
Had a very pleasant stay at Jeff's cabin
Everything was as described. The cabin is extremely comfortable and well equipped. There's plenty to do around but you just want to stay in it! Jeff is very easy to communicate with and provides great recommendations.
We really enjoyed our stay here, it had everything we needed! We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor swing and made use of the big screen by having a movie night while we listened to the rain outside. Booking and communicating with Jeff was painless and efficient! I think we'd definitely find our way back here again in the future.
A little piece of heaven!!
If your looking for a relaxing time away this is the perfect place! My husband and I took are two teenage girls 14, and 16. We went to a few of the local falls and just driving up and down route 100 was breathtaking! It’s absolutely amazing! The cabin was cozy and it was very easy to relax and enjoy ourselves there! We did the Ben and Jerry’s tour and we will be back to do more for sure!! The hot tub was relaxing and Jeff never hesitated to answer any of my questions! This cabin is truly a little piece of heaven!! I’m sad it’s over:-(
Vermont peace & quiet
Great place for rest or adventure. Make your vacation what you want it to be!
So cosy and relaxing - and the bed was really comfy!
A really relaxing break after a pretty hectic trip from the UK for College Graduation. The weather was amazing - snow, torrential rain and warm sunshine! The cabin and hot tub were cosy in the snow and rain. The sunshine was just perfect for sitting on the porch for morning and evening coffee.
The ‘magic file’ of information was just right. It gave us the right advice on food shopping and hikes suitable for all ages. We particularly liked the Cafe in Rochester and the walk around Texas Falls.
As we return to the UK we will remember our week in Vermont fondly and the care which Jeff demonstrated by coming to fix the TV in person. It was great to meet him!
You are so lucky in the USA (and in New England particularly) to have such amazing countryside.
Although the weather did not cooperate it was a great home for the week. The cold and snowy weather was no deterrent to the hot tub and the movie screen. Day trips to local brew pubs and food was a highlight. Will be back with cx skis in the winter. Nice beds. Well appointed kitchen. A happy renter. I will return.
Located in central Vermont, 1/2 mile off Rt. 100, alongside the Green Mountains. Just a half hour off the interstate and convenient to skiing, hiking, kayaking, relaxing and many other outdoor activities. Enjoy great nearby skiing or stay on the property and have a fun weekend tubing, tubbing and/or snowshoeing through the woods and open fields. In the summer, there are the Farmers Markets in Waitsfield and Rochester, amazing swimming holes, tubing on the rivers, as well as the peace and serenity that comes with being located in the pristine, undeveloped White River Valley.
Other Activities: x-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, badminton and tetherball right on the property.
Golf: Sugarbush has a beautiful 18 hole course, while White River Golf Club offers 9 holes at a tremendous value only 15 minutes away.
Ski: Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, two of Vermonts best areas are only 25 minutes away, and Middlebury Snow Bowl, Vermonts best value, is only 15 minutes away.
