quiet getaway from the city

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a lovely July 4th weekend at the farmhouse cottage while exploring the wineries of the Paso Robles region. The property is well maintained and picturesque with a large farmhouse behind the cottage, a red barn, and access to the vineyards. While walking through the vineyards, we encountered several deer and some old vintage/antique trucks that were fun to photograph. We really appreciated the complimentary Keurig coffee and bottled water and use of the grill. The location is quiet day and night, but not too far removed from the main road and center of town. We hope to return next year!

Dreamy little cottage

  • 5 of 5

The Vintage Ranch is a perfect place to stay while in Paso. It was impeccably clean and filled with all of the necessities a person could ask for. Sonja is so thoughtful in thinking about everything. It's cozy and romantic. The location is stellar in regards to the wineries and downtown. I would recommend the cottage a thousand times over and can not wait until we can visit again.

Wonderful, comfortable cottage in secluded and peaceful surroundings, hosted by charming owners

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I booked a last minute stay at the cottage for a three night getaway. The cottage is wonderfully cosy and well appointed with all the comforts of home, albeit in a smaller package. We were really impressed by the detail taken to make this a comfortable vacation rental. As an example, the the fact that the bathroom cabinets were filled with all the necessities one might need if we'd forgotten anything, toothpaste, razors, sewing kits etc. This goes to show just how much owner Sonja goes to making sure that guests are made to feel at home.

Evenings were spent walking the vineyard and sitting our on the porch with a bottle or two of local wine and enjoying the peace and quiet and the local turkeys! During the day we went wine tasting in the local area, spoilt for choice, and explored Paso Robles. Paso Robles is a 5-10 drive with all the conveniences a town offers, but sitting on that porch you would never know you were so close!

Sonja and her husband Curtis were charming and welcoming, giving us space but also being close by if we had any problems. One night, at about 9:30pm we found we didn't have any water from any of the faucets. I sent Sonja a text to let her know, five minutes later they were outside having fixed the problem. You can't ask for better service.

I would recommend this cottage in a heartbeat and can't wait to go back!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying here for our San Simeon vacation! it is a really cute little cottage nestled in a visually stunning landscape including vineyards and rolling hills. Private and very well maintained it contributed greatly to our best vacation yet! Highest Rating!
