You will fall in love with the Southern charm of Good Day Sunshine in Old Florida Village, a quaint 75 home Seaside style community. Old Florida Village is just yards from Scenic 30A on the Emerald Coast in Santa Rosa Beach. At 1,816 sq. ft. of cooled space, this corner lot lake front home has 2 stories with a front porch facing one of the community pools and two wrap-around balconies on each story in the back - off the den and off the master bedroom. Both private balconies face a hidden, small lake and nature area. The southern oak floors throughout the open first floor, stairs, and upstairs hall give the house a casual and relaxing feel. The furniture and decor are comfortable and casual, giving the home a charm that can be enjoyed by families with children. The porches and balconies have tables and chairs so you can enjoy eating outside or just to relax overlooking the hidden lake. There is an outdoor shower by the front porch and parking for 3 cars. The house is located in the front part of the neighborhood closest to the beach (less than .5 miles).

The Streets of Old Florida Village are constructed with pavers throughout the neighborhood. Natural plants, nature areas, palm trees, and lush scenery, lighted streets and white picket fences surround the community. There are 2 pools, each with restroom facilities. One pool is located directly across from our house. Old Florida Village is a delightful place to walk and it is located on an 18 mile bike path. Bike rentals are nearby. Local art displays, restaurants, antique shops and cafes are all along 30A. The pace is relaxed and easy.

Goatfeathers Restaurant is located walking distance across 30-A from Old Florida Village. Less than a 10 minute walk leads you to Gulf Place - filled with cute shops (SOHO Beach, 30a Store); eateries (Sunrise Coffee Company, LaPlaya) plus others. Gulf Place is known for it's local 30a artists who have outdoor booths located by the green space. There are free outdoor concerts and other family friendly activities located here during season.

The public beach access is an easy walk from our house and also has parking. There is a covered pavilion at the top of the access with grills and picnic tables. Bathrooms and places to wash off sand are also located there. Chair and umbrella rentals are available & lifeguards are on duty during season. Santa Rosa Beach is famous for its crystal clear, blue-green waters. The high dunes provide breathtaking views and miles of sugar white sand. People gather late each day to view the spectacular colors of the sunsets.

Santa Rosa Beach is a relaxed and secluded get-away with no high rise condos. Yet just minutes away is one of the largest factory outlets in the country and some of the best restaurants in the Florida Panhandle. There are over a dozen small beach communities to visit on Scenic 30A including Seaside. Seaside has weekly outdoor movies, summer plays, children's theater and craft activities.

Our home's first floor bedroom has a pillow top queen sized bed. There is a bathroom with a tub & shower directly across the hall. Upstairs has three more bedrooms. The master bedroom has a pillow top queen sized bed, a bathroom with a tub and shower and 2 closets. It also has access to the upstairs deck. The next bedroom has a pillow top queen sized bed and the final bedroom has 2 sets of twin sized bunk beds for the kids. There is another full bathroom with a bath & tub for these two bedrooms to share. All bedrooms have flat screen high definition TV's and DVDs. All 4 bedrooms are carpeted. At 1,816 sq. ft. of living space, this house is one of the largest houses in the neighborhood. Great for families to spread out more.

There is a full sized kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. All cookware, flatware, and other kitchen items have been newly replenished. An open living and dining room area are also on the first floor. The dining table sits 6 to 8 with room for another 3 people on bar stools at the kitchen counter. The den has a couch, two comfortable chairs, and a recliner. A HDTV and DVD is located here along with DVDs, CD's, books, puzzles and games. A laundry room with washer and dryer are provided along with linens. A gas grill and a charcoal grill are available for outdoor cooking.

Good Day Sunshine is a non-smoking home. Well-behaved small dogs are welcome if they are less than 25 lbs. and house broken. No cats or other pets allowed. Housekeeping is done before and after your stay with fresh linens and towels laid out for you. We have a keyless lock with the number always changing, so no need to bring a key. A local contact person will be able to help if you need any assistance.

We would love to share our house with you! Good Day Sunshine is a perfect vacation getaway for families, reunions, and for those who just want a quiet retreat to rejuvenate. About Doug and Carol Beverly

I grew up 100 miles from Santa Rosa Beach and my wife and I went on our honeymoon in the area 31years ago. I can remember the 30a area (as a child) in the early 1970s before it had any significant development.

Why Doug and Carol Beverly chose Beaches of South Walton

I purchased the beach house in Old Florida Village because I vacationed in the neighborhood and loved the 30a area after being away from it for a while. The 30a area has Blue Wave Beaches and will never have the crowded density of Panama City Beach or Destin because there are only a handful of buildings over 3 stories in the 18 mile 30a stretch. I have traveled to most of the Carribbean Islands and the 30a beaches are some of the nicest beaches I have ever visited.

What makes this house unique

Gorgeous white sand beaches, picturesque blue green ocean, brick streets and driveways in the neighborhood, TV and DVD in every bedroom and the den, free wifi, pillow top mattresses on all queen beds, unique corner lot for privacy and hidden lake in the back with balconies on both floors. Hammock for top back balcony and/or side yard nature area.

As we said goodbye to our friends outside the Donut Hole before heading to our respective homes, I realized we had forgotten to sign the guest book! So sorry. But feel free to post any of this under “comments” on your VRBO site.The Old Florida Village neighborhood is just delightful, with the quiet streets, colorful homes and natural landscaping. And Good Day Sunshine is a great house. All our needs were comfortably met in the home, which our family shared with another family. We relaxed, took turns preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen, took walks to the beach with the kids and around the neighborhood with the dogs. The boys loved sharing the bunk room, while the only girl-child enjoyed having her own queen bed and TV.We’ve fallen in love with the 30-A seaside communities, and Good Day Sunshine is a gem of a vacation home. We hope to return in the future.It was a much needed, very relaxing week for all the grownups, and the kids played outside almost constantly, and even met the children of another home-owner. There was a great selection of DVDs, CDs and books, and everyone got to do what they wanted.Thanks again for renting us your lovely home.

Baytowne Wharf, many golf courses, lakes, outlet malls in Destin (15 miles away), Panama City is 30 minutes away, Seaside is within 10 minutes away, white sand beaches are .4 miles away with access, parking and restroom facilities. Elevation above expansive beach is highest in panhandle of Florida. Bike rentals and bike trails are available nearby for 18 mile bike/walking path. Santa Rosa Golf Club is less than two miles away with two holes overlookng the Gulf.

The house was wonderful!

The house was wonderful and everything was clean and in order! The owner was open to any communication needed before and during our stay. We loved that the location was slightly hidden away in a quiet neighborhood with other friendly guests and residents. The pool was well maintained and kept clean. It was just a wonderful place to stay off 30A! Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay again!

Even better than the pics!

We enjoyed a week in this gorgeous home. Plenty of space for our group, beds are comfy, kids room is adorable and perfect! The location was great, too! We were able to walk to the beach, food, and even some shopping. Pool is across from the house, so easy to get to and check out before heading over. The owners are really nice, they are in contact with you and help if needed. House had everything we needed and it was FUN! I love that this area is not as packed as Destin. So pretty.

Great location

House in great shape and great location, right across from the pool and a short bike ride to beach and everything else. Food really close. Very clean. Beds comfortable. However kitchen not as well appointed as some, with few pots/pans and not enough big ones to cook for a crowd. Utensils are old, knives dull, no sharpener. Only one pool pass but we were never asked for it anyway. Would be perfect if kitchen better appointed.

Perfect house! Perfect location!

This is our second time renting this house. It is in an absolute perfect location. It's a couple minutes walk to the beach and directly across from one of the neighborhood pools! What really makes this house special is the easy, fast and friendly communication with the owners! It has always been such an easy transaction!! We had 2 families staying and it was just perfect!!

This house was perfect for our stay.

The house had everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. A very short walk to a beautiful beach. The neighborhood was very quiet and well kept. One of the pools is literally right outside your door. They have a policy of leave what you need for the next guests and I thought that was great. We were able to benefit from that as well as leave some items for the next people. I would definitely go back. M best friend and I were traveling with our 8 children and there was plenty of room for every one to have their space when need and also great space for us all to gather to play games or eat.
