About Marvin Green
I am a 58 year old native of Idaho. I have lived all over the world and have been living here in Phoenix for the past 19 years. I am currently working as a real estate consultant - mostly in residential real estate. I love sharing this very unique property with friends from all over the world and am always happy to help you make your stay in Phoenix the BEST ever.
Marvin Green purchased this House in 2004
Why Marvin Green chose Valley View Acres
This location offers the best view of the city and of the valley in the entire valley. It is stone quiet at night, and the stars are bright - all the best of our Southwest living. It is also fantastic to see the monsoons move in over the valley from this location. All of my guest love the house - but the view is what it's all about - you can't stop looking.
What makes this House unique
If you'd like to experience real Southwest living - this is a great opportunity. This property is surrounded by natural Sonoran Desert in all it's beauty. Watch incredible sunsets and hear the coyotes howl at night. Trailheads into South Mountain Park - a 22,000 acre preserve are just steps away from the house. Try taking horses on the trails - also available close by.

Property was beautiful!
Overall experience was good. The house was huge and so beautiful! Our family of 7 had plenty of room! Many pros to this property. The amount of room, the house is just amazing, the view of the city during the day and night, close to many activities, pool and spa was a nice way to wind down after a busy day. The only con I have is that the house was a little dirty upon check in, nothing horrible, just the kitchen counter needed wiped down a little and a few of the dishes were dirty. Overall, beautiful, private, very nice place to stay and relax on our vacation. Thank you Marvin!
We arrived to a wonderful surprise to see the living area decorated with large tree and numerous nut crackers displayed! The view of the area was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time with our family. Very spacious and layed out.
Some of the cons were the dishwashers not working, fireplace not working, kitchen appliances need some attention. Also cupboards were pretty full of owners belongings so hard to put our groceries away.
Overall it was a great vacation spot for our small family. Glad it was dog friendly! Would stay again if coming to that area.
The home size met our requirements of comfortably accommodating three couples and 4 children under five years. (5 stars!) The major disappointment was the pool/sauna heater was not functioning. Marvin did everything he possibly could do to have it repaired, but being Thanksgiving weekend, he was unsuccessful. Having a swimming pool unavailable for the grandchildren (and adults) was a major disappointment. Two other maintenance issues were: One of the two dishwashers was not functioning and of the two ovens one could not be used because the door latching seemed to be sprung. Neither issue was a big deal to us. We negotiated a modest discount pertaining to the pool issue to our satisfaction. The view of Phoenix was beautiful and the mountain hiking was very near-by and great. Despite the pool issue this is a place I can honestly say we would consider trying again. Marvin was great help and surely as disappointed as we were with the pool problems. November, 2017.
I certainly WAS disappointed that the pool heater gave us trouble. It is now fixed, of course, as is the dishwasher and oven door. We try very hard to exceed expectations, and when it doesn't work out that way, we work hard to avoid the same issue in the future. This was a great family to have stay here and we do hope they give us another shot
AMAZING- We will definitely book here again
We will definitely book here again. This is a stunning home. The layout is spacious and perfect for 3 couples to enjoy. Inside and outside living areas are very comfortable, plenty of seating and the views are so beautiful day and night. The back patio or upper level deck is perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, to read a book and of course watch the sunrise/sunset over the valley, city and mountains. This home is in a quiet, private-gated neighborhood and is situated where you are not looking at other homes, quite the oasis. The rooms and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked for any meal you wish to create. The owner is friendly and easy to communicate with. Our favorite Mexican restaurant was Los Dos Molinos on Central Ave, Phoenix. They have the best Mexican food and margaritas, and the manager Carlos is very nice and helpful. Another favorite (because we are from Washington State and big Seahawk fans) the Skeptical Chymist Irish Restaurant & Bar in Scottsdale is a must! Live music, generous portions of tasty food and beverages... and they were giving out Seahawk swag! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we will book here again, and we highly recommend this home.
wonderful in phoenix
Was worried because of the reviews about things not working. Although there were items that did not work, it did not cause any problems with out stay. Wonderful views and a fantastic place. Would highly recommend. Perfect amount of space for our group and great location. Marvin was an excellent contact and answered all our questions immediately!!!
Phoenix Hill Retreat
Nicest home I have ever been in!!!! Super views, spacious, and I'd call it a mansion. Two dishwashers in the kitchen, big washer and dryer in the laundry room and even a washer and dryer in the master bedroom. Marvin was a great host and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at his wonderous home.
many diverse activities within a few hours drive from Phoenix including alpine activities in northern Arizona (and of course the Grand Canyon!), lakes, archeological sites, Karchner Caverns (2 hrs to Tucson), and more!
