This cute 3 bedroom 2 bath unit is located in the Boardwalk triplex, right on the white sandy white beaches of Perdido Key. With 2 small 3 bedroom residences side-by-side and one large 4 bedroom unit above, the cozy, somewhat rustic, beachy atmosphere is perfect for a family or group of friends spending a few days or even a few weeks at the beach.

Located just minutes from great restaurants and night life, Boardwalk is a fantastic place to stay. The covered balcony offers an amazing view of the Gulf and there are steps directly to the beach and dune walk-over. With only 3 residences sharing 100 feet of beach front, this is truly a low density complex.Along with our beautiful beaches and pet friendly residence, Perdido Key offers many fun and exciting attractions like museums, water parks, restaurants, and shopping. Well, this was the first time I've ever stayed in Perdido Keey. I was sad the water wasn't anywhere near as pretty as Destin. But oh well... Let's talk about the house. Location was great but house was in terrible condition. I mean, I'm not just talking about it looking like it was stuck in the 80's with the completely outdated furnishings. But it was gross. When we arrived sand was EVERYWHERE. No one even used the couch the entire week bc it felt so gross. The refrigerator, I gasped when I saw it. Literally thought that blood was ALL OVER IT! But you know what it actually was? Rust. A rusty refrigerator. From that moment I knew it was going to be a great place to say. Half the blinds were broken off and laying on the floor, but they actually did come to fix that on Monday or Tuesday of our stay. The front toilet was broken, I informed them about it when I talked to them about the blinds, but it wasn't fixed. Last but not least there is so much rotted wood under the window in the Master. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again.

View was beautiful!

The unit clean and had a wonderful view of the beach. The beach was not crowded. The only issues were the master bed rails not properly attached so bed fell on floor. The wood rails on balcony needs to be inspected and repaired or replaced. A small child could fall through the rails.

Desperately Needs Updating

We were pretty disappointed with the overall unit. There were obvious signs of water damage everywhere you looked; ceilings, floors, walls. Birds were literally coming in and out of the rotted walls on the outside of the unit. The unit provided no place to sit and eat a meal. There were two chairs pulled up to a counter but no table and not enough chairs for our group to eat together. The kitchen was poorly equipped; no sharp knives, no cookie sheets, no wine glasses, etc... The bedrooms were nice sized but comforters and linens were so outdated it was almost comical (worse than pictures). Perhaps most disturbing was the lack of cleanliness. There was sand and hair all over the floor when we arrived. There was also hair stuck to the shower wall in the master bath. We questioned whether or not the sheets had been changed because there was dark colored hair all over them as well. There are some positives... The view and location are amazing. Very close to the beach and located in a quiet area. The covered deck was perfect for enjoying the views and there was a patio table and four chairs (thank goodness we had perfect weather and could eat outside). The air conditioning worked well and we had plenty of hot water for showers. If you are traveling with anyone who can't manage stairs then this is not the place for you. This unit is pet friendly which worked well for us. The bottom line-we did not expect the unit to be new, in perfect condition or pristine. We saw the photos. However, we were surprised with the overall condition and cleanliness. If you have a pet and want to stay beach front, this place works. However, there are hundreds of other options available up and down the beach at the same price and in better condition. This unit has tons of potential if the owner would invest in some basic cosmetic updates and repairs. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: I am very sorry you were disappointed in the unit and don't understand why you did not notify us when you checked in. Although somewhat exaggerated, we agree that the unit needs to be updated. Ironically, prior to your arrival we blocked the calendar off beginning on the day of your departure in order to allow for time to paint and replace fixtures in one of the two bathrooms. In any event, should you decide to give it another try, I feel certain you will be pleasantly surprised..

Disapointing!

Just stayed here last week. The view/location great and being pet friendly worked! But property in dire need of upkeep! No dining table and 2 barstools at which to dine. Bathroom fixtures worn out and unsightly. Not a deal breaker but washer/dryer located outside and shared with others.There were cleaning issues upon arrival. Can't say I will be staying here again and that's a shame because this could be a great place!
