Squirrel Bank self catering cottage is decorated to a very high specification. There is a separate parking space alongside and the guests can enjoy their own private garden with garden furniture and barbecue if requested.

Guests will enjoy the peace and quiet of the location that is just under a mile from Bowness village and Lake Winderrnere. The owners know the area extremely well and will happily share their knowledge with you and supply you with guides maps and walks to enjoy while staying in this beautiful corner of England.

Sue and Dave offer a special service. Attention to detail is very important to them and their delightful cottage has

many personal touches.

Squirrel bank is beautifully presented and everything has been provided for your needs.

Squirrel Bank Cottage has recently been redesigned and refurbished into a lovely ground floor cottage. There is a Flat Screen TV, DVD and radio/CD player. The owners have a selection of DVD's for your enjoyment. Dividing the lounge from the Kitchen is a pine table with matching chairs.

The bedroom has beautiful Stag mahogany furniture and double bed with matching linen. There is a shower room off the hall. This is fully tiled with white furniture.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment and fully equipped for the discerning guest.

A very peaceful holiday, although it was a May Bank Holiday in the Cottage it was fairly quiet

We received a very warm welcome from Susan and David. The cottage felt very clean and comfortable. All the facilities we needed were there even though the cottage was fairly compact. The adjacent road was nicely situated so we could visit family further north without having to go through the busy town centre. We had wanted to visit Hill Top, via the ferry across the lake but sadly it was not working on that day. We did go on the lake from every angle after being away from the area for 50 years

Lovely cosy cottage near Bowness.

Big thanks to Dave & Sue for their warm welcome to Squirrel Bank Cottage. Our stay was very comfy, with clear instructions & even suggestions for days out! The local walks are beautiful & Bowness Pier & shops/restaurants are a short walk away.

Perfect Easter weekend stay

The cottage was perfect for our stay.. clean and well equipped. It is situated in an ideal location and the owners are very helpful as they know all the peaks and fells very well. This was a great help to us as we were new to the area. The rooms are comfy and more than adequate for a great self catering stay at the Lakes. Will definitely be staying again.
