Our home is heated and cooled to offer the greatest comfort. The four bedrooms--three queens and one twin bed bedroom plus a queen sofa bed in the living room and a roll-away single bed for an extra guest--can accommodate up to 8 adults and 2-3 children. The house is amply spacious and comfortably furnished to instill an at-home feeling for your important stay. The maximum number of guests is not to exceed 11 people, infants are not included in this maximum number.
One of the most wonderful things about our house is the large comfy screened in porch. Sitting on the porch in the mornings having our cups of coffee and enjoying a relaxing drink in the evenings, watching the birds in the front garden, and treasuring the quiet, is bliss and our rental families' favorite past time.
A home-away-from-home. Get re-acquainted with your graduating marine while enjoying Southern hospitality, peace and quiet, plus the nearby activities that await you at this charming, roomy home in the historic town of Port Royal. We're less than a simple 2 minute drive to Parris Island Marine Base entrance. Take time to read the wonderful reviews left by previous Marine families who were thrilled at how close they were to their Marines.

The proud owners of 1611 Columbia Avenue in Port Royal, S.C.
We are residents of Southern New Jersey, but hope to make Port Royal our permanent home. Until then we have the satisfaction and pleasure of sharing our home with wonderful people who may find our home their home-away-from home. We love Port Royal and its beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
Roberta Hare purchased this house in 2008
Port Royal and the surrounding areas are truly a taste of the South. The pace and friendly people are a respite from our crazy Northeast life style. One day there and the tension melts away. Our home is furnished as a 'lived in' home, not a rental property. We think you'll feel 'at home' while staying with us!
Port Royal village, where the house is located, is isolated from the busier roadways and commercial areas. Once you turn into the Village of Port Royal, off Route 802, there's a distinct atmosphere of calm, quiet and life at a much slower pace. There is no through traffic into the town; and, our home sits on a dead end street so there are very few cars that pass by the house any time of the day or night. Even so, if you want modern life's amenities, they're less than a minute drive away.
Thank you so much for opening your home to us to see my brother graduate from Parris Island. The beds were quite comfortable and the recommendations for places to eat were spot-on.
P.S. We all loved the cats! They were all well behaved and kind, even to the one year old.
We were in town for the air show. This house is perfectly located for visits to the Air Station or the Recruit Depot.
The owner contacted me to discuss the property prior to contracting. Really enjoyed meeting the next door neighbor/caretaker. Nice man!
It was clean and spacious. We had a wonderful time and the location was perfect.
I was so thankful we were so close to the base.
This wonderful house is as advertised! The house is very cozy and clean with very comfortable beds. The kitchen had every utensil and dish we needed to cook everynight. The house is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. We were at the gate within 2-3 minutes and standing on Parris Island within 10 minutes of leaving. It is very close to grocery stores, drug stores and a beach. Sitting on the porch in the morning drinking coffee and listening to the birds chirp and the rifles crack was awesome!
Thank you for opening your beautiful home to our family for our son's Marine graduation from basic training at Parris Island. Your home was clean and well stocked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. It was a little warmer in the house than we are use to but then we had a couple of cool nights so we all adjusted. The location of the house was perfect for traveling back and forth to Parris Island and for just needing to run out to the grocery stores or Dollar General. We also went to the sands beach in Beaufort, SC and feed the segals and walked the pier. We also enjoyed a few nights at the waterfront park in Beaufort, SC and had ice cream and swing on the swings.

House was comfortable and slept our family of 9 easily while there attending our oldest son's Marine Corp. graduation and Family Day events. Easy access to the base (5 min from house to parking on base). Everything you needed and plenty of storage for luggage, etc. Owners were great to work with and very responsive and next door neighbors were friendly and helpful. Close to gas, food, shopping and two Marine Corp. stores, where you can pick up everything you need for the graduation. Thank you for letting us use your home. Made life so much easier for our large family! Even had room to visit with family who came down from the area for the celebration.
We stayed at this wonderful home during the week of my son's graduation from Marine Bootcamp. We truly felt at home. The first morning I awoke to the faint sound of guns shooting on the rifle range!!! The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. Literally, this home is less than 5 mins from the Parris Island entrance! Beaufort is also 5 mins away. The screened in porch was one of the selling points for us. Morning coffee sitting on a wicker rocking chair and watching a cardinal!!
Also, the neighborhood is quaint and quiet with some true southern style homes. Also the lovely trees with the moss hanging is beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the shower had hot water, and it is roomy! This home has character with lovely decor! We would definitely rent this home again!
