About Rebecca Smith
4 sons, 2 daughter in laws, 5 grandchildren, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Very Blessed.
Rebecca Smith purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Rebecca Smith chose West Union
We both grew up around the lake and loved sailing, water skiing, swimming and fishing and wanted our 4 boys to have the fun experience of a simple cabin on the water.
What makes this Cabin unique
Very quiet. I love getting up early and sitting on the porch swing with my cup of coffee, mesmerized by the tranquil water. Waiting for the occasional splash as a fish jumps, or the hum of a fishing boat going home after an early morning catch is about as exciting as the morning gets.We all love skiing and swimming and fishing from the dock, grilling out and just relaxing.

Wonderful Graduation Weekend!
This cabin is awesome!! It was so comfortable and clean. Also, had a rustic feel to it and the lake was beautiful. We had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. The Smiths are great to work with and this place is very family oriented. We cannot thank you enough for a great weekend!!!
The Fairbanks Family
What an amazing home this is!
This was the perfect getaway, cozy and comfortable. The house, the dock, the lake... everything was perfect for us! We had plenty of room and beds for teenagers who went outside and went exploring on the canoe and reconnected with us and each other (and actually put down their phones!) I could see us making frequent visits out there. The owner was incredibly pleasant and we thank her for opening her home to us! That's exactly what this is.... a HOME.
Very nice lake front cabin!
Our family loved the location on Cane Creek. The cabin is very nice with a wonderful screened porch. Great setup for family trips. We caught several spotted bass from the dock. A great stay!
We had a cozy family Thanksgiving in this beautiful cabin. The kitchen is great, the host is super friendly and the views can't be beat....very quiet and tranquil. We hope to return soon.
Gorgeous cabin and property!
I booked this for my two brothers and their families who were in from out of town (5 adults, 2 children from Hawaii and Va. Beach) because all the local hotels were booked (Clemson football!). Really glad I did - the cabin is gorgeous! Very clean and homey, with lots of room for everyone. Everyone raved over how great it was, and WAY better than a hotel. It really added to their vacation to stay in such a well-kept, well-stocked, and 'authentic' cabin. Tons of sleeping space, though bring earplugs if you're a soft sleeper, as sound travels between rooms at night.
We didn't have time to use any of the water toys, but there was lots to do. The drive to the nearest grocery store (Ingles) is about 10-15 min away, so stock up before you arrive. Cabinets have the standard salt/pepper type things, but you'll need your own milk/butter (obviously!).
The owner was prompt, courteous and responsive.
Love love loved this place and would book again.
Everything is perfect about this cabin. Cozy with a rustic feel, but with all the comforts you could want including an updated kitchen. Tucked away on the lake, with its own dock and canoes/paddleboards, yet close to hikes and other activities.
