Quaint cottage with care taking detail to decor and landscape greets it's guest with colorful pots at its front door. Patrons enter a living-dining, kitchen open floor plan that opens on two sides to a surrounding private deck.

Master bedroom with adjoining bath is followed by two private bedrooms which share a hall bath of marble. A loving restored oak flooring flows throughout the house. Triple windows in the living room adjoins a lovely fireplace tranquil sunsets. House has cable television

Only 3 blocks from the Intercoastal Waterway. Easy walking and biking to downtown shopping and restaurants.

Just 15 miles to Hunting Island State Park with white sand beaches. Hilton Head, Bluffton, Savannah & Charleston are short driving distances. Walking, carriage and sight-seeing tours of Beaufort & Port Royal's national historic districts are available daily.

About The Owner

We are local landscapers for over 30 years. This was our home until we purchased a track on land on the edge of town. Our garden center is on SeaIsland Drive just over the old bridge from downtown. We moved here for the beauty and water access. The history of Beaufort is so rich and is possibily the first settlement of europeans in the new world. Spanish Moss, Live Oakes, Palmetto Trees, and the rivers was breath taking.

Why The Owner chose Historic District

Location, Location, Location

Its close to most everything, shopping, dinning, waterfront, historic district, Parris Island, Air Station, and minutes to Hunting Island Beach. The Sands Beach is a shell beach just 3.5 miles away with a boardwalk and boat ramp connected. Beaufort's waterfront park is on the intercoastal waterway right downtown, just 2 minutes away!

What makes this house unique

This is a free standing home with its own driveway. A large deck is connected off the side and back for enjoying the outdoors.

This house is downtown Beaufort. Nothing states that its in the historical district. Its a nice little house in a good location. Its free standing with its own parking in a safe neighborhood.

We have taken the advice of a previous renter and performed a "Spring Cleaning": carpets upholstery,& etc.

I would love to give a good rating as the owner last minute allowed me to bring my pup (IF CRATED while gone) for an additional fee. I was willing to overlook the musty smell as none of the windows had screens so it had a closed up scent. I was willing to overlook the living room and kitchen ceilings that were cracked and water damaged. The roof that was damaged and patio that was rotted & barely repaired, the nails coming up through the wood and the bushes that scratched the truck as we pulled into the drive, the neighbor who has a pop up camper in their yard that they lived in and sang all day/night. I was renting not buying. I was there for my daughters graduation at Parris Island - so I tried not to let anything bother me. UNTIL, family day... the first time I see my daughter who is now a Marine in over 3 months. At 1:30 in the afternoon I get an email from the owner - "Hey, I dont care what you're doing. You need to get to the house and get your dog, she's been barking and the neighbors are fixing to call the cops. It's not that hot out, leave her in the car in the shade" um - it was 82° and humid. We're from MI (30° & she's 12 weeks old). Besides, l just paid to leave her in the home crated. What did he think she would do? Learn French? She's a puppy - shes going to bark - she was crated as you requested. So, my husband leaves to go get the dog, I message him back (which he HAD my cell #, why NOT just call me? ) to tell him I'm on my way - when he proceeds to tell me "hopefully he can hurry because I'm here walking her" . Needless to say, our family day was rudely interrupted by the owner, the singing neighbors that live in the pop up camper who ALSO have a dog at 1:30 in the afternoon because the owner took it upon himself to go INTO the house we rented - INTO the bedroom we slept in - and INTO my dogs crate to take her outside. I may not OWN the house, but I rented it. So for the owner to just come in as he chose at 1:30 in the afternoon and take my dog out of her crate to walk her while my husband got there 15 minutes later felt violating. I WOULDN'T recommend this property AT ALL to anyone - especially military families that are looking forward to seeing their loved ones at Parris Island, as you may get an email NOT a phone call, demanding you return to the house. A simple phone call would've been sufficient. As well as, could you please return to the house as your dog is barking. I felt as though our privacy was invaded. Very rude!

Great location for Parris Island

Stayed here for my step sons graduation from Parris Island. Excellent location, only 10 or so minute drive. Close to reataurants/stores. House was nice, good for the 5 we had staying. ☺ plenty of room to be able to all sit together and relax!

Very cute little old house

It served the purpose for our short time in Beaufort. The house is older and could use some updating. Shower heads have low pressure. The home owner didn’t really give any details to check out policy and had to call for Check in code on lock box. But over all our stay was great!!

Cute older home.

The home was the perfect size for our trip. We had 6 adults that came for Graduation at Parris Island. The home is a bit older, but we had no problem with it. It was clean, and within 3 to 4 miles from the base.

Spacious home in need of a lot of TLC.

Location is not as specified in the write up- it is not close to the downtown historic district as it is advertised to be. There are several items in desperate need of repair. Cleanliness of the home was not acceptable. Kitchen appliances are outdated and many do not work properly. With some updates, repairs and a good “spring cleaning”, it would be a nice place to stay.

This is a non smoking home. We ask that guest return all items bak in their place, clean the kitchen completely put all dishes, pots and pans up, clean out the ice box, put the garbage out : trash is picked up on Wednesdays the can needs to be on the curb Wed morning.
Guest should provide their own washing powders. Hand soap and dish soap is provided. Thanks
