I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed your condo. It was a perfect setting for our anniversary and your location, view, decorating and floor plan were ideal. There is nothing we would change if we were the owners. We hope to make this an annual trip every October. Thank you again for providing such a wonderful setting.
I agree with all of the positive comments in the prior reviews. This condo has a perfect location on the 13th fairway of the South Course. We pulled chairs onto the grass and watched the sunset every evening...priceless. It's only a one bedroom, but is very spacious; far superior to a hotel. One or maybe two younger kids will fit well. The updated communal pool is very nice; the Beach Club is fabulous. The restaurant's Mai Tais are excellent. Thanks, Bill...I hope we can return soon.
My husband and I stayed here for a week in April and thought it was perfect. Spacious, clean, beautifully furnished (think elegantly casual, not tropical), well equipped. Every room had a lovely view outside (enhanced by mirrors clever placed!) so that one never felt closed in. The weather was excellent, but if it had not been we could have happily stayed in--plenty of room.
The market at the resort shopping center was well priced and had everything we needed to cook in the unit. Restaurants there except for Monstera were overpriced for quality. If nightlife a priority (it wasn't for us) the bars and restaurants at the hotels would make it possible to have drinks without having to drive home on highway. The spa service at the resort was expensive ($169 for 50 minute massage) but superb--and you can spend the day there using pool, gym, tennis court.

We would book F104 again in a heartbeat. Great location, beautiful grounds and a very nice sized, clean, comfortable, well equipped unit. It was great to take a 3 minute walk to the nice BBQ area and pool. A beautiful 18 minute walk through part of golf course on to the fisherman's trail along the gorgeous ocean to the beach. We hung out at the beach several days and ate at Napua which had great food and service. We were impressed with the snorkeling at the beach as well. We saw lots of fish, turtles and hugh coral formations. Walking through the fish ponds was serene. It was quiet and peaceful and having morning coffee and watching the sun set on the water every night from our backyard was paradise.
Thank you for the wonderful stay at your Mauna Lani condo. My husband, myself and our boys really loved it. We love its location on the Kohala coast as well as its location within the Mauna Lani resort. For us, upsides included:
- very big one-bedroom unit and you can really spread out. Extremely comfortable furnishings.
- very serviceable kitchen that is really well stocked with basic amenities and cooking equipment. One of the better stocked kitchens we've ever rented and we enjoyed eating our breakfasts and lunches at the condo.
- ground floor opens onto a nearly private yard that is 'enclosed' by low shrubbery, which kept kids contained but we could see across the golf course to the ocean (so didn't feel in the least closed in).
- great community BBQ and pool area just a couple buildings over (we used the BBQs for one evening meal and the pool area several times during our stay)
- lovely 15-20 min walk to beach club with protected cove/beach and quite decent snorkeling . Good restaurant at the beach club.
- Easy access to some of the best beaches on the island when we felt like leaving the Mauna Lani resort.
I have already forwarded your link to some friends and we fully intend to contact you again for a future stay when we are lucky enough to find our way back to the Big Island.
