What makes this Condo unique
108 is the closest unit to the ocean in the Maui Kai! Spectacular views of Lanai and Moloka'i across the channel. We love watching the whales during their annual visits. The West Maui trade winds keep Maui Kai comfortable year round. And we love our little corner of Ka'anapali, close enough to Lahaina and the big Ka'anapali and Kapalua resorts for shopping and entertainment, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean. And we keep updating it constantly!

Everything we needed was here. The condo was very clean and spacious. The best part was the recliner for my husband. This is the reason we chose this unit. Older people like comfort. Great Place for a Vacation
We've stayed in this unit for nine nights--Jan 16-Jan 25. It's location is quite unusual for Maui. The spacious lanai is separated from the ocean by only a paved walkway and a concrete sea wall and the surf breaks against the rocks just short distance from where you're sitting. At high tide, it's not unusual for the wave to splash a bit over the seawall and onto the pavement in front of the lanai. So you have a feeling similar to lounging on the front deck of a cruise ship. And because this unit is located at the north end of the condo building and on the first floor, the beach area is directly accessible via a short stairway down to the sand.
The unit is comfortably furnished (the king-sized bed is very comfortable and features individual firmness controls) and has a smallish, but very well equipped, kitchen. Since we don't care to spend our morning time in restaurants waiting for breakfast to be served, we had all of ours on-site. We also cooked several dinners. It's easy to buy fresh fish in Ka'anapali and the condo's cabana has nice gas-fired grills for all the residents' use. Oh, and it also has a small heated swimming pool and a large hot tub, both very clean and well maintained. Ditto for the grounds, landscaping and the building in general. The unit, itself, is also clean and well maintained, and appears to have been update quite recently. We especially enjoyed the large, tiled, walk-in and glass-enclosed shower. While this condo is compact, it's plenty roomy enough for two people. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.
The unit provides good access to the long boardwalk to the south of Lahaina, which we walked as far as Black Point. We also had a beautiful and delicious dinner at Dukes Beach House, which is a short stroll down the boardwalk and a great place to view the sunset. The whole Ka'anapali/Lahaina area is full of good restaurants, shops, galleries, museums and entertainment venues, so there's never a lack of something to do. And there's always Ka'anapali Beach, itself, which offers, swimming, snorkeling, surfing kayaking, etc. Since we were there during the migratory season of the Humpback Whale, we devoted some time after sunrise and before sunset to whale watching, which we could do right off the lanai. What a thrill to see those big boys frolicking in the morning sun!

This place was great! It quiet and comfortable and close to many Maui attractions we wanted to see. We found everything we needed in the bath and kitchen.
Enjoyed our stay in this lovely and comfortable apartment
Well appointed and very comfortable one bedroom apartment. Easy to get around and a good location. We enjoyed breakfast several times at Java Jazz and had dinner next door at the Kaanapoli Shores. A great place to eat dinner then watch the amazing sunsets!!! The apartment its self was wonderful and comfortable. What the pictures do not show is there is not direct access to the beach in front of this condo unit. You have to use the beach next door. That's why Im giving this place a 4 instead of a 5. You have to go down some steps, climb over some rocks and time the waves as they go out and then scramble over them to reach the beach next door. Not really too bad! If you are at all athletic this is not a problem. My husband and I did it every day to go play in the water and lay on the beautiful beach. Enjoy!
We’re glad you had a great time, and yes, unfortunately the sand does come and go. We’re an oceanfront, not beachfront, property, so we do take advantage of nearby beaches when we want to get in the water.

Great location easy to find
This was the second year we stayed at condo 108. This year was no different then the last. Very comfortable condo with everything we could want. The staff were very personable and made our stay very comforting. Would recommend to anyone for a great vacation.
We spend a lot of time enjoying the view from the glass-enclosed lanai, windows open to catch the breeze or closed to keep the occasional Maui 'liquid sunshine' off of us! But Maui Kai is just minutes north of Lahaina, with great shopping, restaurants, art, history, and entertainment. When you're tired of the beach, stroll down Front Street, pop into some art galleries (particularly on Friday Night Art Night - enjoy a drink while you're browsing), watch the sunset, do some shopping, and maybe enjoy a great Lappert's Ice Cream. Take the submarine tour of the reefs. Sign up for a whale watching tour from Lahaina Harbor. We love Trilogy and Pacific Whale Foundation for snorkeling trips to Molokini, Lanai, and places around West Maui. Once you've seen a sunset from Maui Kai 108, you'll want to see the sunrise from Haleakala - you have to get up VERY early, but it's a spectacular view. There are operators who guide mountain bike tours down Haleakala. We enjoy the Maui Tropical Plantation (on the road to Wailuku) and the Maui Aquarium. There's lots of great golf around Maui, but lately we've enjoyed Kahili - great views, great golf. If you want a different Maui experience, Kula Lodge in Maui upcountry (halfway up Haleakala in Kula) has good food and spectacular views of the islands. One of our favorite restaurants now is Honu (means “turtle” in Hawaiian) on Front Street in Lahaina, on the water across from the Cannery Mall. We often go there after church for lunch, but the food is great anytime – you'll get hooked on the deep-fried chickpeas they bring as an appetizer, and don't miss the sweet potato fries! It's billed as seafood and pizza, but they have sandwiches, salads, and a lot more.
