Fiore Della Vita “Riviera Casita” and little vineyard.

Beautiful Santa Barbara Riviera Guest House-very Private, Safe & Inviting!

Our Santa Barbara guest house or “Casita” is located on one of the Riviera's most private and beautiful estates. It sits on the lower portion of the three acre parcel and is completely separate from the main house-it is free-standing. The rental consists of the spacious bottom or first floor with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, hallway and large outdoor patio with lounge furniture, bbq grill and seating area. Please note that the second floor is not occupied and is not used while guests are in the Casita first floor. If you are looking for privacy, peacefulness, and cleanliness, this is a wonderful and central location and place to call home while you are in Santa Barbara. Staying at the Casita is like staying at your own little Biltmore cottage but without the heavy price tag. In addition, the Casita looks out onto a small vineyard with grapes from our vineyard in Switzerland. As the casita is secluded from the main estate this allows our visitors privacy and a sense of retreat while they can relax on the patio with total privacy. Great for a couple seeking a romantic getaway, a writer, musician or painter or anyone looking for a quiet secret spot to rest. Furthermore, the private parking spot is located right next to the back door of the casita allowing our visitors to drive right up to the house without trying to meander through someone’s yard or garden path.

The Casita is located in one of the very best Santa Barbara locations. We sit directly above the Mission allowing our visitors to be in the upper heart of town. Driving or walking to your destination is easy and usually very convenient to find. It is within walking distance to the famous El Encanto Hotel (where you can walk across the street to have a nice dinner or evening cocktail), the Historic Santa Barbara Mission, and the Natural History Museum. The closest bus stop is one block away. It is a 5 minute drive down the hill to 'Downtown' and the beach. The Casita is immaculate. It has a spacious large bedroom-living room with a king size bed, wonderful soft sheets, entertainment cabinet, armoire, small sofa, and breakfast nook small eating table for two. It has two windows allowing for lots of natural light to fill the room. One of the windows looks out to a beautiful fountain and enclosed garden area. Also there are two large French doors that open up to the parking area allowing for wonderful access and more natural light and fresh air. The full size bathroom has a tub/shower, sink with counter and small window looking out to the patio area. It is also stocked with basic necessaries in case you forget something. The kitchen is furnished with a large refrigerator with freezer, small stove with oven, microwave oven, toaster oven, etc, and opens up to a private patio area overlooking a small vineyard & olive tree grove. The bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom all have solid wood entry doors allowing our visitors to close off the rooms for privacy. The wonderful private patio-sun deck is like another large room added to the casita. It is lovely and secluded making it ideal for sunbathing and relaxing or eating outside as it is furnished with round table and chairs and a lounge chair and table all with nice clean cushions.

Because of our upper Riviera location, our Guests have the luxury of enjoying some of the best weather conditions Santa Barbara has to offer. It is commonly known that in the spring and summer months, the city of Santa Barbara is often covered by our costal fog. Often this fog does not burn off until mid-day or late afternoon disappointing many a visitor that stay close to the beach areas. Our Guests are so happy to be staying in Our Casita as they wake up to lots of sun and look down on the city covered with fog below.

We welcome your inquiry and look forward to having you as a guest in our Casita!

Please give us a call with any questions that you might have.-Joanna

Charming and Peaceful Guest House in Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

I was fortunate to find the The Casita to stay for a month following a surgery. The location in Santa Barbara's Upper Riviera was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. It was the perfect place for a relaxing recovery. The house and grounds were very clean and well-maintained. I especially enjoyed the patio with a view of the vineyard. Right across the street is a charming park with nature paths and a large reflection pool with w/ lilies and rose bushes which I frequently visited for my daily walks. As an added bonus, complimentary weekly cleaning and fresh linens were provided by the wonderful Francisca. Joanna and Jan were very friendly, kind, and helpful during my stay. I highly recommend the Casita guest house and would love to visit again.

Wonderful Serene Getaway in Santa Barbara's Exclusive Upper Riviera

  • 5 of 5

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend six months in this beautiful casita. Everything was just perfect. The owners are great to rent from and very responsive to any questions/requests. It is so peaceful here and also very convenient to all that Santa Barbara has to offer. In addition, it is kept in excellent condition and very clean. The patio overlooks a small vineyard and has a peak-a-boo ocean view. I would highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again myself sometime.

Private and Peaceful Week in Santa Barbara

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I chose The Casita because of its tranquil and peaceful setting in the Upper Riviera. I was also drawn to the owners description of the casita as clean. It was very clean. We were more than pleased to be there for the entire week. Joanna and Jan were present if needed and were not obtrusive. The bed was comfortable, the small kitchen was more than adequate, and the upstairs living room with it's balcony, doors and half bath created a sense of elegant spaciousness. Breakfast on the lower patio overlooking the small vineyard was a real pleasure. The estates gardens are formal and quite impressive and the improvements appear to be ongoing. We would stay again next trip to Santa Barbara.

Quiet, comfortable, well equipped and spacious "Casita" on the Upper Riviera

  • 5 of 5

This is terrific rental. Well located for privacy and quiet, the rental itself is very well equipped, spacious, and set amidst beautiful grounds on a gated estate. The family who owns the Casita is very friendly and welcoming and is very available for any advice or assistance on making the stay more enjoyable. I'd highly recommend this property for local individuals looking for a place for a visiting relative or friend to stay who is independent, or for travelers desiring a wonderful property tucked in to one of the private, lesser seen areas of Santa Barbara.

Paradise Unleashed

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we entered the gates of "Fiore Della Vita", we were transported to an ambience of "Old World" charm and hospitality. The extensive grounds are beautifully manicured, and the casita is situated for privacy and tranquility. The pictures on the internet are accurate, but what they cannot relay is the conscious effort on the part of the owners to provide both comfort and entertainment during one's stay at the casita. They were also very helpful in making suggestions for restaurants, etc.,and they have a very informative guest book that we used extensively during our week's stay. We also enjoyed sipping our evening wine and morning coffee on the delightful patio overlooking the small vineyard. All of this, and divine weather to boot, made for a most enjoyable vacation. We highly recommend it for a couple's "get-away".

Thank you Joanna and Jan Marco for sharing your "slice of paradise", and thank you,Georgette, for the chocolates on our pillows! We hope to one day see you again!

Casita Paradiso

  • 5 of 5

Little piece of private paradise. Very quiet place to study and relax. Great location. Beautiful grounds. Clean and nice layout for functional living. Nice amenities. Could easily live there for a long stay. Owners were very congenial. Garden views just melt the stress off of you. Easy access to all Santa Barbara offers but removed from the business and touristy sites.
