This is a very large house ideally suited for Family Groups.
Connemara Beach House is a unique property on 11 acres with access to a sandy beach. There are wonderful views of the ocean and islands from almost every room. This property was once a Restaurant and Guest House and it was built to a very high standard. The property was run by myself and my husband for many years until we decided to operate it on a self-catering basis
Why Rita chose Leagun
This property is set in a beautiful location of Connemara. Only 10 kilometers from Clifden, the Capital of Connemara and just a few kilometers from Omey Island (a tidal island) and the fishing village of Cleggan. Inishbofin is just a short trip away by Ferry.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The quiet, peaceful, beautiful scenery. Fresh air; great walks. Proximity to National park, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara Golf Club and so much more - there won't be enough time to complete everything to do on your list for your vacation!

Excellent property and location
Excellent holiday had by all of the family (13 in total) for my wife's special birthday, at a very special location.
Many thanks for booking our property Christopher. We are so happy that you all enjoyed your holiday!
We rent the house with friends to spend the New Year in the Connemara. The house is wonderful, the view on the see is amazing. Neighbors are far from the house, so it seems that you are alone at the end of the world...
There are 8 bedrooms with a bathroom for each of them. The living rooms are really pleasant with the view on the see.
The owner of the house is very nice, gave good recommendation on pubs, shops... There is a book with all recommendations which is really helpful.
The closest "big" city from the house is Clifden (10 minutes drive), you can find everything. Really good and nice Irish pubs (The Mannion's bar and the Lowry's) where you can listen some good Irish music.
A very nice place to go is the tidal Omey Island, just on the opposite bank of the house. You can only go there at low tide, you cross a large sandy strand by walk (or car if you want).
So great house, great place to stay in Connemara, great holidays!
We are delighted that you enjoyed our house and your time here in Connemara.
This modern eight bedroom spacious bungalow, which was formerly a small family run guest house and restaurant, has uninterrupted views of the Atlantic ocean and islands and has its own private access to a sandy beach.
The house if very well decorated and furnished. There are two reception rooms, dining room, kitchen and TV room. Seven bedrooms are ensuite; the eighth bedroom has an adjacent private bathroom.
Open fireplaces and oil fired central heating make the house cozy on those chillier days.
Deep Sea and lake fishing; horse riding; mountain climbing; golfing and trips to the islands are just a few of the activities in the area. The nearby town of Clifden is a sea side historic town with many lively pubs, delicious restaurants and interesting shops.
