Amour Getaway is a peaceful, private home just minutes from the historic Sonoma Plaza. This serene, and delightfully comfortable house can accommodate up to four guests.
House layout inside and out.
Amour is decorated in warm and bright tones with original and tasteful artwork. As you drive to the end of our street, you'll pull into our driveway, in front of our sunny front garden. Then open the gate to our enclosed French-feeling, shady courtyard with a wooden two-person swing. Go up two steps to the front door landing and enter the house into the dining kitchen area with new classy flooring, a built-in oak breakfast nook looking out to a garden, a refurbished 1940's fully equipped kitchen with new dishwasher/garbage disposal. Just off the living room is a private, new, and sunny back deck with table, views to the hills, and a shady garden.
The split-level living room has fir flooring and a romantic wood-burning fireplace, a double bed with a privacy screen on the lower level looking out on the back deck. The upper level is a traditional family room/TV area.
In the master bedroom is a queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and a sweet roll-top oak desk. There are 1.5 baths: a half bath behind the kitchen, and full bathroom with tub/shower through the master bedroom.
In addition, we supply cookware, and dinnerware, plush towels and robes, Egyptian high count cotton sheets, pillows and blankets.
Go do it all or kick back and do nothing!
Amour Getaway, in the heart of Sonoma Valley is within minutes of wineries, fine food, art, music, theater, spas, shops, state parks, Jack London’s home, Infineon (Sears Point) Raceway, golf courses, horseback riding, balloon flights, biking and hiking, yet guests always comment that the Amour Getaway is so incredibly quiet and relaxing. Amour is located only 45 miles north of San Francisco, 45 minutes to the beach or the redwoods.
The quaint, rustic neighborhood of Boyes Hot Springs is perfect for a five-minute walk down to the Barking Dog Café at the end of Vallejo Street or a homemade ice cream store at the start of our street. If you favor a longer walk to the historic town square of Sonoma, use the walking/biking trail that starts on Hwy 12 across from the Breakaway Cafe. Sonoma, only five minutes by car, boasts fabulous and varied restaurants, great music venues, a wonderful old movie theater, sidewalk cafes on the square, cheese makers, and interesting unique stores. There is always something interesting going on in town, such as art fairs, live bands, fiestas, film and music festivals, and outdoor theater. Glen Ellen, two miles north of our house, is home to the famous Jack London State Park, and also has wonderful restaurants and shops.

I also founded a non-profit reading clinic here in Walnut Creek and I do teacher training nationwide using my unique, effective, physically-active, and musical reading program.
Judy Kranzler purchased this House in 2007
Why Judy Kranzler chose Boyes Hot Springs
My husband and I chose Sonoma because we love the town, its vibrant community, and the surrounding countryside. We have gone up to Sonoma for our romantic weekend getaways from home for over four decades, and hope to eventually move there. Finding this amazing house right where we wanted to live, was a dream come true. It has all the character and charm I could ever want but is small and cozy as well.
What makes this House unique
My husband and I fell in love with the home and its location, view, and serenity. We felt immediately comfortable and relaxed there.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice charming place to stay. If we ever go back to the area would love to stay there again
Sonoma Cross Country Family Vacation
My family and I flew in from New York for our first visit to California. After much research we decided on the Amour Getaway Cottage and we were not disappointed in any way. The cottage was clean and inviting. Judy was gracious and informative when we bombarded her with questions about the area and different things to see and visit. Sonoma is a beautiful area to stay, the town is so quaint and lovely; and we found it conveniently located to all the things that we wanted to see from San Francisco, to San Jose, the Pacific Ocean, Armstrong Redwood Forest and Napa Valley. We drove all over, with nothing being more than 2 hours away. It was great. Thank you Judy for sharing your getaway cottage with us; we really enjoyed our vacation and our home base at Amour Cottage was perfect.
Adorable, quaint, clean special little cottage
We came to Sonoma for a family wedding in mid-July. It was absolutely perfect. Completely adorable. Had everything we needed. Perfect location - short drive downtown and to anywhere we needed to go in the area. So comfortable and peaceful. Will definitely be back next time we come to Sonoma. Loved this cottage.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We love it too! Come back soon!
Cute and cozy! Perfect for a ladies wine weekend.
We loved the location as far as being close to all that is Sonoma, from restaurants to wineries. The street you drive down to get to it seems sketchy, but the street ends at the cottage and there is ample parking for 2 cars. The place itself is a bit dated and the yard definitely could use some TLC, but perfect if your looking to relax and enjoy what Sonoma offers. Could sleep 6-8 people comfortably with all the beds although it is a small place. Pat, the caretaker came by just to check in, but was off to work and recommended several places to visit. Great lady! The courtyard was perfect for morning coffee and chatting. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage! Would recommend as long as your looking for comfy, not fancy. Great stay!
Thank you for your comments. Let me reassure guests that there's nothing sketchy about the street that we live on. It's such a friendly walkable neighborhood where you can amble down to the Barking Dog for freshly roasted coffee or to the corner homemade ice cream store or the many authentic Mexican restaurants. We bought this house because we love how cozy and old-fashioned it feels. You're right that it's not fancy modern but we just put in all new flooring, new toilets, new bed, and it's freshly painted.
we have been going here for years and it our go to romantic place!
Clean, cozy, fully equipped. Perfect!
Wine Tasting, Multiple Spas, strolling around neighborhood and town square, napping!
