Perfect long weekend.....

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved this place!! Could not of picked a better place for our long weekend. It was an older house and we loved it since it reminded us of our first house. We were so happy to find someplace that "welcomed all well-behaved dogs"-wasn't sure since this was our first adventure with Bruce and Skylar but they WERE well behaved and were so happy to be there. Nice big yard with trees all around so the dogs knew their bountries. House was the perfect size for two adults and two dogs. Everything we needed inside the house was there. House was clean and comfortable. Super clean basement with a washer and dryer so that was nice to have. Conventionly located to the Warren Dunes State Park and the Red Arrow Highway so super easy to get around and see things. Adults and dogs had a wonderful time!!

nice secluded cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have 2 yorkie dogs and family of four. For us this place was perfect. The location is right next to the park and beach. Yet very secluded and not busy with people. We used kitchen to its full potential - cooked our own meals. Highly recommended.

Absolutely awesome property

  • 5 of 5

This place is perfect for a young family or us older folks with grown children. Closer to the Warren Dunes beach than the Warren Dunes Campground. Easy drives to the local berry fields, restaurants and wineries. The basement is super dry and has updated equipment for washing and drying. But the best part is outside. It has a large deck with brand new, very nice furniture. Easily seats 8 while grilling on the nice big grill. The yard is huge and shaded with a 30' swing and an in-ground fire pit. It is completely surrounded by mature trees and at the end of the road. On our last night, we parked 7 cars in the driveway and had 28 members of our family in the yard for washers, cornhole, frisbee, pitch and catch, and bocce ball. We topped it off around the fire pit listening to the old ones tell us campfire stories from the past 45 years of camping out in Sawyer. This is camping in the woods in style. We will be back!

Very clean and tidy cottage, perfect for a single, couple or small family!

  • 5 of 5

This darling cottage does not disappoint! So clean and neat and dry, no funny smells or weird water. Nice and private without being too secluded. It would do future clients a disservice not to mention that Interstate 94 is practically in the back yard, so there is a lot of highway noise, but the very quick drive to Warren Dunes State Park more than makes up for it. I hope to stay again next summer!

Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Great location, clean, private but close to everything, cozy, everything we needed for cooking/cleaning up/entertaining, dog-friendly, reasonably priced, and would definately rent there again! A very short drive/walk to the Warren Dunes State Park with great beach and only a 20 min drive to Michigan City or St Joe in which both have many things to do. This location is right around the corner from The Red Arrow Highway which has many neat places to stop such as antique shops, restaurants, and areas to see beautiful lake Michigan.

Perfect Location and Accommodations for a small family or couple

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is at the end of a long lane that kind of snakes through a woods, so you have total seclusion. The location is perfect, as you are about 1 mile as the crow flies from downtown Sawyer and about 8 from Three Oaks. St Joseph/Silver Beach is only about a 20-ish minute drive north and is straight up Red Arrow Hwy. Dunes State Park is literally around the corner. There is no shortage of shopping and dining around area. Do yourself a favor and get some donuts or a danish at the Swedish Bakery. They are amazing!

The cabin is small-ish but comfortable. There is a queen or maybe full size bed in the main bedroom with a medium firm mattress and another room with bunk beds for those with children. There is also a pullout sofa sleeper however the mattress was pretty thin. My 16 year old son is too tall to do a bunk bed (5' 11") so we put one of the mattresses from the bunk on the sleeper mattress and he was fine. The kitchen has a coffee maker and filters (no grinder so bring already ground coffee though), dishwasher, 4 person table, fridge, microwave, silverware, cups, bowls, paper towels, etc. Pretty much fully stocked except for food. And oh...the internet speed is AMAZING.....65mbps Down and 12 Up. That came in really handy when I had to login to work to fix something quickly! Check-In and Check out could not be any simpler. This cabin surpassed our expectations and I was named the 'Hero of the Day' by my family for selecting and booking it. :-) Happy Travels!

Owner's Response: We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Yes, the mattress on the sleeper sofa is wafer thin and not very comfortable. Guests are welcome to use the full-sized inflatable mattress located in the central closet. It has a built-in pump and it is much more comfortable. It also deflates quickly to get it out of the way. I'm glad you found a creative solution by utilizing one of the twin bed mattresses. Please come back again sometime. Chad & Sara
