We are a middle aged couple with two children. We work full time and enjoy our vacation home and enjoy sharing it with others. It is a special place to us and has created many happy family memories. We have some families return year after year, so it has become a happy family memories for them as well!
Deborah purchased this House in 1999
Why Deborah chose Willow Creek
The Trinity River is a very beautiful natural setting. We bought the property to enjoy the sun, and peace and quiet. We wanted a place right on the river so we can easily swim and relax. The climate is perfect to grow a summer garden. We love the town of Willow Creek, which has so many activities available, such as the rafting companies that rent boats and provide guided trips. There are no crowds and there is everything you might need, even public tennis courts and disc golf.
What makes this House unique
Right on the river, just stroll down - one of the few houses with such easy access and sandy beach.

Cozy and comfortable, and close to the Trinity River!
Restful and relaxing place. We enjoyed the birds along the river, and the abundance of tomatoes in your little garden. Also loved poking around in the assorted rocks and pebbles on the shore. A little bit smoky from time to time because of the wildfires, but usually very bright and beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Peaceful and beautiful
Absolutely beautiful setting!
This place was a dream come true for me, my kids and husband and two of my long time friends. We had such a great time swimming in the river, playing on the beach, building rock towers, BBQing on the deck, and watching eagles fly over the river from the large cabin windows. The cabin was very cozy and accommodating. It was good for kids and felt friendly all around. I’m definitely going to come back!
Relax, unplug and enjoy Trinity River
This cabin may be the best value on VRBO. Short walk to the Trinity, great view from deck and quiet. It's small but comfortable and adequately equipped. No cable TV or Wi-Fi but that was part of the charm. Cell phone (Verizon) worked if one just has to stay "Connected"! Watched a fabulous moonset one night with a shining crescent dropping below the ridgeline. Great swimming holes and I imagine fishing would be nice as well. The road in to the place is very narrow in places, so be careful and take it slow. Deborah was very nice and helpful in answering questions and provided good information.
A lovely few days vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable cabin-by-the-river few days. The cabin is very pleasant and nicely accommodating for indoor and outdoor activities.
Great base camp in the forest for spending time with family and friends
We had two families of four staying at the Trinity River Cabin in June 2017. We enjoyed time on the river, checking out the national parks and hikes in the area, and downtime on the porch. We could not have found a better location for everything we wanted to do in both Humboldt and Trinity counties.
From our place you can walk to the river....one of the few in the area! Willow Creek is 45 miles from the coast at Arcata, California. This inland valley was created by the scenic Trinity River. A peaceful town with all the services you might need, the cabin in located just 5 miles away on a quiet back road. Guests have enjoyed hiking, fishing, biking, rafting, golf and all water sports in Willow Creek, and day trips to the coast to see the redwoods, go on charter fishing boats, wonderful ocean beaches etc.
Other Activities: rafting, Several companies provide rafts and guided trips (highly recommended, half day or full day)
5 night min. in summer, 3 nights off season. Always ask, as there can be exceptions, and look at calendar. Gaps in the summer booking can be filled. Thanks!
