We LOVE log homes/chalets, and that is what this condo feels like! Recently remodeled unit has granite counters, updated baths, new LR furniture and new TVs in all rooms. It is walking distance to downtown Winter Park, on the shuttle bus route for Winter Park Resort.
It has many unusual amenities all inside one building: ski shop, indoor pool, hot tubs, workout room, video game room, pool, foosball, basketball pop-a-shot, and laundry room. No frozen hair (or miserable kids!) as you run from pool or hot tub to car or condo! There is underground parking (no cleaning off the car in the AM!) & free ski locker.
All bedrooms have a balcony, some with a view of Winter Park Ski Area. The master BR has a new, plush, king mattress, full private bath, & 26' LCD HD TV w/DVD. The 2nd BR has a twin over full bunk, plus twin trundle pull out (sleeps 4), new mattresses, a 26' LCD HD TV w/DVD and a Wii with Guitar Hero.
We have an Ipod docking station, games, DVDs, puzzles & sports equipment for your use.
Well stocked with all kitchen utensils, large pancake griddle and salt, pepper, sugar, flour, cooking spices/oils provided.
Enjoy Wolf Park in the summer, which is walking distance and has a fantastic playground, basket ball court, sand volley ball court, tennis courts, covered pavillion with large barbecue and several tables, and very nice bathrooms. We provide the following equipment for use at local Wolf Park: (2) tennis racquets & tennis balls, (4) badminton racquets, volley ball, basketball and football. Summer Special: Free access to pool and racquet club 3.5 miles away. Spectacular mountain views from outdoor recreation area with large pool, 2 hot tubs, 3 tennis courts, grill and indoor amenities (ping pong, basketball, racquetball, steam room, gym). This is in addition to our onsite, indoor amenities (1 pool, 2 hot tubs).
This is one of the most updated units in Silverado II. Our building has so much to do - we don't know of any other in Winter Park that has so many amenities under one roof, especially at this price!
Ski shop. Indoor pool & 2 hot tubs.
Use of gorgeous pool/racquet club 3.5 miles away.
Coming all the way from northern Michigan we (three adults) weren't really sure what to expect of Colorado, however we fell in love. The town of Winter Park was so charming and the condo was absolutely beautiful! The rustic decor made us feel like we were staying in a little cabin. There was so much space and we all slept comfortably. We also loved how close the condo was to some amazing Colorado must dos... We went to the alpine slide, the hot sulfur springs, cliff jumping and even downtown Denver to Elitch Gardens. We had an amazing trip and coming "home" to the condo every night was the cherry on top. Although some of the other reviews had complaints of the stairs they did not bother us at all... We were made aware of them before booking and still chose to stay! I would recommend this condo to family and friends and would (hopefully will) stay again! Thanks for helping make our vacation wonderful!
The overall property was OK, other than being old and NO air conditioning. The facilities stated that they had a restaurant with room service, a bar and a ski shop, which were closed permanently. The indoor pool and two hot tubs are nice. The location is convenient to town. We had the unfortunate experience of renting Room (deleted). The condo was advertised as only one flight of stairs to Room (deleted); however, it is two flights of stairs. The shower curtain and toilet in guest bath was moldy. The curtains were literally falling off the rod in the guest room. All ceiling fans were loud and unbalanced. The stand fan was falling apart and hazardous. The master closet was full of "stuff" and we were unable to hang up our clothes or store anything. The second bedroom had a lock on the closet door, so we were unable to use it. The towels had a mildew odor. The cabinet under the master bath sink had a musty odor, and that was where extra towels were stored. There were clumps of long black hair in master bath tub. The tub, sink and toilet in the guest bath were backed up and we had to unclog all of them. The couches had a strong offensive odor and were worn out. The VBRO site stated that the condo had been recently remodeled. The bathrooms had been remodeled but the condo HAS NOT been updated.
There were 4 women over 50 getting together from Fl, Vt and a friend that booked here, living outside from Denver and is an avid skier and has a timeshare here that could not get it.
We walked in and no one was at the front desk or anywhere to ask a question. We parked in the garage and grabbed a cart for our weekend retreat. We rent condos and thought were experienced. From the garage, you take an elevator to the 2nd floor. You travel down a couple of halls to where you unload the cart and have to use stairs for the two more floors to take suitcases, food, etc. I wonder I'd a handicap person ever booked here. We walked in to the place and we are thankful someone cancelled. We were crowded with 4 people, the place was very dark and the closets were packed so we lived out of our suitcases. We left early, were not happy. The worst thing is you pay for cleaning but need to take your garbage down two staircases during the stay. Ps, restaurant and bar was closed, fire pit was occupied by children and it seemed a lot of maintenance was going on, the property needs it. not impressed
We had the best vacation at this condo in Winter Park, CO.
Condo was just as described, had everything we needed and then some.
Our kids adored the bunk room, and in order ofr both to be happy they flipped each night on how was going to sleep on top bunk vs bottom bunk.
The master suite was nice and cozy, mattress felt amazing.
We especially loved that both bedrooms and the living room had a balcony to open up and get the fresh, cool mountain air in, haven't slept with doors open in years, it was a nice treat for sure.
Kitchen was well stocked. Condo was nice, quiet and staff up front super helpful, ( I ordered something from Amazon and they promptly brought it up after it got delivered).
The condo is close to a park, equipped with lost for kids to play on/with, plus tennis court and basketball area, grills and park benches.
There is a trail that leads to it, Alpine Trail, we enjoyed hiking it daily for after dinner fun!
We will definitely stay here again!
We loved the condo! We're already planning a trip back. Waking every morning to the view of the mountains is breathtaking. The condo itself was very clean and well supplied; we felt like we were at home.
Heather, your Condo was all you said it would be and more. It was beautiful, convenient, high quality, clean, very well decorated, great location... Very impressed. My family of 6 adults (16-58) were very comfortable. Everyone we met at Silverado II was soooo nice. We would highly recommend your Condo to anyone looking for a place that feels like home.
