Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We have a family of five with 3 kids ages 10, 7, and 5. Our parents came as well for 4 adults and 3 kids.

The setting is more low keyed than Vail village. Its a beautiful spot just outside of Beaver Creek where theres some shopping and basic kids activities (horse back riding, miniature golf, mining for rocks, etc)

The condo is within the residences located adjoining the Ritz Carlton hotel where there is a fantastic pool and daily hikes and other activities.

The building itself is in need of some cosmetic upkeep (scuffed walls, drywall repair thats not painted over, etc). Parking is convenient and private and covered.

The condo is in good condition overall. There is plenty of seating (maybe too much?) although the couch and the chairs are older and sort of saggy.

The master bathroom hand towel rack kept falling off (screw to hold it in place had fallen off).

When we arrived, the room keys were missing for some reason. The manager replaced them within a few hours however.

Really minor things overall. We would stay here again.

Great location

  • 3 of 5

I have stayed at Snow Cloud several times and it is a great location. Our family loves that Bachelor Gulch is quaint and not as loud and busy as Beaver Creek Village. The property was nice, but different property management in the same lodge can change your experience. This property is managed by Berkshire Hathaway. There was no conditioner, no robes, one ski locker key, 2 house keys, no laundry soap, and very hard pillows. Our experience at this same lodge with different management created a more luxurious feel. It is very expensive not to have included the above items in the rate.

Slopeside vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Super convenient slope-side building, walk right out of the locker room, across the lobby, and you are on the slopes! We lucked out with fantastic January storms so the snow was unbelievable every day. Easy walk over to the Ritz for their restaurants, pool, and apres around the fire pits. Condo is spacious and has everything we needed for out breakfasts, used the Ritz or the free shuttle to Beaver Creek (10 minutes) for dinners. Beautiful view overlooking the lifts & slopes. Parking and check-in was great, bypass the front desk and go straight from your car to the condo! Will be back next year.

I was very disappointed with the condition of the property and the managment. Based upon the condition of the property it is obvious it is used ptimarily as a rental and the owner does not do much to maintain it or managment does not inspect it very well. When I first arrived I noticed numerous maintenance items that needed addressed and even after I requested these items to be fixed some of them were not during our 5 days stay. Here are some of the issues we had:

The refrigerator was too cold and ruined lettuce and vegetables so that we could not eat it. We wasted about $35 of produce because of that. We tried to adjust it but it did not make a difference.

The bathtub in the bunk room did not drain. When taking a shower about a foot of water accumulated.

The front right burner on the stove only half of it worked.

Lights did not have light bulbs in several of the rooms. We requested they be repalced but they never were.

Large throw rug in master bedroom is torn. The fringe is torn away from the rug. It looks terrible and should be repalced.

Stopper in left sink in the master bathroom was stuck in the closed positions so the water would not drain.

Gas grill does not work and there were no briquettes.

The jets in the master bathtub don’t work

The sun blind in the living room did not work and was permanently down until we got managment to fix it.

We were given only 1 dish towel.

The instructions provided by the management company states that the fireplace switch is to the left of the fireplace. We finally found it behind a bookcase on the right side of the fireplace.

We had a cleaning scheduled for mid week and I was sent a text that they would arive at 2 o'clock on the scheduled day. They came at 11 AM without notice. The reason I care is we had a 9 month old baby with on a certain schedule and 2 o'clock is what I agreed to.

I paid too much money to have to many issues. I would be very careful if you are considering this unit.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are disappointed that your experience was less than what you expected or less than what it should have been. As a team, we have gone over all of the items you brought up and have tended to them. The experience you described is not typical in any way of the service we strive for and our apologies if it fell short.
