About Sergio

I'm a quiet, friendly, San Francisco resident who's happy to dish on all my favorite spots in the neighborhood and city. I love to travel, eat, sketch, and stay very active whenever possible. This apartment is a perfect fit if you've just landed in San Francisco and looking to get hooked up with the startup scene, Y Combinator, Meetups, and the like.

Enjoy your stay in San Francisco in comfort & style.

Sergio purchased this apartment in 2003

Why Sergio chose South of Market

We went through a million dollar San Francisco remodel in 2005 adding a garage and roof deck. Come see and check out what we did to make this a San Francisco destination spot. Sumner House is located in SOMA district. It is artsy and filled with lofts--a real slice of San Francisco, close to shopping, cafes, great wine bars, and restaurants.

From here we can get anywhere easily on BART and MUNI, plus we have great neighbors and great restaurants.

What makes this apartment unique

This house is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. At the same time its close to every major attraction you want to see in the city. Perfect for business travelers and families looking to explore yet relax when they come home in the evening.

Discover our Sumner House Luxury Vacation Rental and never stay at a hotel in San Francisco again.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Well there are certainly some outstanding comments here, most of which we would agree with! :) This area is indeed "flat", the steam shower was fantastic, and the home is very nice. I can't draw unicorns, but our stay was magical. The baby seat was a nice touch but none of us are pregnant. In summary, all was great- you've provided a lovely space and we appreciate it greatly. :)

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay—the place is very well designed, decorated and maintained. Our family of four was extremely comfortable staying there. SOMA is an “up and coming” neighborhood, with a lot of old buildings that have been remodeled with very modern interiors. Even in the middle of the city we felt our area was quiet and safe for our family. Sergio was fantastic to work with and very responsive!

House was great and very accommodating. Parking at the house was great

  • 4 of 5

Sergio was great to work with and very accommodating. Only negative would be the homeless situation in the downtown area.. Would highly recommend the Sumner House.

Very nice" with a little tlc could be perfect

  • 4 of 5

This is a very comfortable flat with a nice grocery store and Starbucks within a block. The flat could be cleaned a little better removing handprints from door frames, replacing burned out light bulbs and repairing the shades in the den - 2 of 4 are missing. But it is very comfortable. The area is "turning" with homeless in the street in front of the flat. They are friendly but something to get used to. The kitchen and rooftop are phenomenal.

Beautiful Interior and very comfortable accommodation

  • 5 of 5

The interior is very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and left us a bottle of wine in the apartment upon check in. The only negative I would say, which has nothing to do with the apartment itself, is their are a number of homeless people that live around the area where the apartment is. A couple of times we had to ask a homeless person to step aside from the entry to the apartment since they were sitting their at the time. Again this has more to do with that area around City Hall than the apartment itself. If you happen to be staying in this area, I would highly recommend this apartment.

Nice attention to detail and clear instructions - amazing roof deck!

  • 5 of 5

My boss stayed here for a conference and his feedback is that the apartment was really nice; beautiful floors and furnishings, nice attention to detail and clear instructions on most everything. The welcome wine was a nice touch! Roof deck was quite amazing, but unfortunately he didn't get to use the hot tub because of the crazy rainy weather. The keypad access made it easy, especially with more than one person. Parking was very convenient. Definitely recommend!

Excellent apartment for group visits

  • 5 of 5

Very nice apartment! Comfy rooms and beds, nice kitchen, beautiful roof deck and hot tub! Good location for those going to events at the Moscone Center. Convenient keyless gate/lock. Conveniently located grocery market just around the corner. The small street that the apartment is on can be sketchy at night (SoMA neighborhood is in transition), but we had no issues. Only suggestions: more towels and more cups/glasses--we had to do a lot of washes with frequent hot-tubbing, coffee/wine drinking! Thanks Sergio!
