A charming and elegant 2 bedroom apartment conveniently situated steps away from world famous Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and all the Sloane Street and Brompton Road shops.

Thirty year London home of Hollywood composer. Perfect for one or two couples exploring London, and overlooking Basil Street with a perfect mixture of comfort and elegance. The flat is located on the first floor of Lincoln House (in the UK this is one floor up) and is accessible via steps or elevator. The closest tube stop is Knightsbridge, and the flat is located midway between the Sloane Street entrance and the Harrods entrance. Kings Road is a ten minute walk at the end of Sloane Street. The building has two porters which are available to assist with deliveries.

Bookings may begin on the afternoon of the departure date of a previous guest. However, if you have bags, you are welcome to drop them off earlier while the flat is being cleaned.

Not suitable for very young children.

The flat has a local phone, and also a US based phone with a New York (631) telephone number which can be used for unlimited free calls to and from the US.

Access from Heathrow Airport couldn't be easier; take the tube directly to Knightsbridge on the Piccadilly Line, with no changes required. Takes about forty minutes. From Gatwick, the Gatwick Express leaves every fifteen minutes and is a short train ride to Victoria Station, which is fifteen minutes away by cab - Bonnie Cacavas.

When we walked into this apartment we were surprised as to see how large it was. It was just the two of us, but this apartment would be ideal for two couples, or a couple with children. We chose the front bedroom with twin beds, which were quite comfortable. As for location, it can't be beat. Just steps to Harrods, and to Harvey Nicks. Also a Waitrose, and other convenience stores. I can't comment on the appliances as we did not use them. We ate all meals out. For morning coffee I went to Paul's, just a short walk away. This apartment is also very good for elderly and handicapped like us, because it has a lift, and is just a few steps to some good restaurants. We ate in Sal e Pepe's three nights. Literally across the street. Very good food at reasonable prices and a friendly crowd. Had a good buzz. One last thing to say. Bonnie is very easy to work with and fast to respond.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN LONDON!

This London flat is nothing short of impeccable. Anyone searching for a flat would be doing themselves and injustice by staying anywhere else. You are one-half block from Harrod's and the Knightsbridge Tube entrance. This was my second visit to London. Everyone is concerned about safety. This flat is located in a very safe neighborhood. In communicating with Bonnie about the arrangements and reviewing all the paperwork provided, everything is specified exactly you may expect. She has gone above and beyond what is required to ensure you not only have the basic information of the flat, but has taken the time to provide her newly extended family (YOU, the renter) with lengthy detail of all the amenities and the inner workings of the place. The big plus is the extra information on the surrounding restaurants, shopping, businesses, how to find things, and the area in general. One reviewer stated the pictures do not do this flat justice. You, have to see it to believe it. In an area of London where flat owners charge you an arm and a leg for each night, Bonnie's focus is on the visitor to offer an extremely reasonable charge for staying here. Really, this isn't a flat; it is a home. Bonnie and her family bend over backwards to make sure your temporary residence is the proper foundation upon which you can enjoy that trip of a lifetime. Bob is the onsite building manager and is available every single day. He would be outside every morning to greet you and always offered to assist you with any information, directions, or tips. I kindly refer to Bob as 'The King of Basil Street' there at Lincoln House. Considering this home, I would recommend it to anyone making their first or subsequent venture to London. It is spotless, clean, well-maintained, amenities to cover your every need, and a touch of class. Everyone offering any place to stay anywhere available on Home Away needs to follow Bonnie's lead. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to have had the privilege to find Bonnie and her Lincoln House home. On my next trip to London, I know where I will be staying! Contacting Bonnie will be the best thing you can do to start your London trip off on a high note. I'm limited to five stars for this review. If possible, I would give it ten stars. Outstanding location and impeccably maintained

The flat is in short walking distance from Hyde Park, great shopping (Harrahs and Harvey Nichols) and many very good restaurants.

The flat is clean, well maintained and has a very good floor plan. Bonnie, the owner, is a joy to deal with and is committed to making your stay a pleasant one. I would definitely recommend the flat to my friends and also would not hesitate to rent it again on my next stay in London.

What a gem

I just spent two weeks in Bonnie's flat. While the photos are accurate, they fail to do justice to the proportions of the rooms--the living room and bedrooms are high-ceilinged and, thus, the windows, which are nearly floor to ceiling, are enormous. As a result, the rooms are filled with light. When you return to the flat after a day out, make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful living room. And while you're at it, have a look at John Cacavas's memoirs (there is a copy amongst the varied selection of books in the flat), he and Bonnie had properly glamorous careers composing music for film and television--I enjoyed reading it.

I would happily return to this flat. As other reviewers have mentioned, Bonnie is very organized so making arrangements for staying there are easy; the flat is ideally located for using public transportation; and the flat is attractive and comfortable. I will certainly be booking another stay here.

Lovely apartment in a fabulous part of London!

We spent a week in Bonnie's apartment and loved the convenience to shopping, dining, the Tube, and buses. My 2 teenage children enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on their own. It felt safe with activity even later into the evening. The accommodations were exactly as described. The rooms are large and well-furnished. The only draw back is there is no large table for dining. We made dinner several nights as we were too tired to go out. The apt is well-stocked with all the essential cookingware. Bonnie was pleasant and prompt in responding to questions. The directions were clear and we got right to the apt after a long flight. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Second stay even better than the first!

We just used this flat for the second time with some friends. Both couples enjoyed having the two bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. Improvements since the last time included a new washer-dryer in the kitchen that worked wonderfully and improvements to the master bath. Love the location, ease of finding restaurants, grocery stores, and all the wonders of London. The decorated Christmas windows in all the department stores were revealed before we left on Nov. 9 and that was a special treat. We always enjoy The Metro restaurant just down the street and like Sale e Pepe across the street also. Good pubs nearby and of course, Harrods with all its wonderful shopping. Thanks to Bonnie for all the good information before the trip and help with small problems while we were there. All details were clearly explained and taken care of well before the trip. Would love to go back!
