About Mary-Ann Nossent
Mike and I bought the property in 2012 and live next door to the cottage. We fell in love with the garden first (well I did), and having previously had an allotment in Kent am delighted to have my fruit and vegetables a bit nearer to me now. We have done a huge amount in both the house and the garden. Like any garden it is of course a 'work in progress', and I have an ongoing battle with new plants and the rabbits! Mike and I both work from home so one of us will be around to chat or deal with any queries. Mike is a Rights of Way lawyer and I am an equality consultant. Lwcus is our Border Collie

Why Mary-Ann Nossent chose Llanelli
We think this place is special and unique and we like to share it with like minded people. It is in a beautiful rural location with the advantage of being close to the A48 making exploring quick and easy. We want our guests to leave here feeling they have had a very special stay and we do our up most to achieve this. Our information folder is regularly updated and includes personal advice on local shops and restaurants. The folder also promotes local attractions, gardens, castles, beaches and suggestions of what to do on those rare rainy days! We always take time to share suggestions with our guests so that they can best enjoy their stay in the County.
What makes this Cottage unique
A main part of the Cottage experience is the garden which provides a quiet haven for visitors. We are continually developing this for our guests to enjoy. The gardens attract much wildlife and many of our guests have said how much they enjoy watching the birds so we ensure that the bird feeders are always fully stocked. We have recently produced information on the birds that visit us. The garden opened with the National Garden Scheme for the first time in 2018

Ideal cottage for exploring the coast and mountains.
Very friendly host, everything just as we'd hoped, delicious homemade bread and jam awaited us on arrival. My only niggle would be the dim lighting in the sitting area, as in almost every self-catering place I stay in?
Nice property & gardens. Only problem the spiral stair case is not suitable for both the elderly or the in firmed. our party of 4 had a lady slightly disabled, and a gent with a swollen foot, and both found the stairs a problem. The one toilet being down stairs did not help
Cosy, warm, welcoming. Beautiful garden and view.
Great property. Lovely owners. Warm and cosy and very comfortable beds. Lovely wood burner.
Delighted you enjoyed your stay and thank you for leaving the cottage so beautifully clean and tidy.
Fully met it's description with great and peaceful location by the deserted and very scenic quarry.
Very clean and tastefully furnished with two very comfortable beds and bedrooms. A very good and knowledgeable host. Great views across the deserted a quarry with a constant stream of different birds on the bird table. A fantastic base for South West Wales including coast and Brecon Beacons. Main highway for whole area only five minutes away.
Thank you for your kind words and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. We absolutely love this place and it is our complete pleasure to share it with our guests.
Very best wishes,
Gorgeous location with welcoming host
We had a lovely stay. Mary-Ann is beyond gracious...we were welcomed with fresh-baked bread and welsh cakes as well as her more the knowledgeable insights on where to explore and the best places to eat (definitely check out White Hart!). The quarry on the grounds is also worth a ramble on its own. If I could give more than five stars I would.
Pen Y Garn Cottage
Beautiful and peaceful stay in a delightfully quiet setting. Good access to the coast, the Brecon Beacons and the Gower. Warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. Perfect all round.
Thank you for your kind words and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. You quote the very reason we choose this location, it is quiet and peaceful and at the same time really accessible to those, 'must see places' of West Wales.
Very best wishes,
