Beautiful Cottage down a country Road
Beautiful cottage, beautiful area of the Cape. Our first time ever on the Cape. We decided this house is now our go to place on the cape. It is setup nicely with everything in the kitchen we would ever need on a vacation.
This is a very strategic location, central to everything we like. The owner David is very warm, friendly and helpful.

We'll be back! Sean
Sean and Nataly called me after they got home and told me what a delightful time they had at the cottage. They were very nice and are welcome back anytime. David
...we will be back!
The little cottage was just what we pictured! We are living in London but we will be back!
Loved Shelly and her newly acquired English accent. She and her family were very happy that I was able to accommodate their last minute booking.
Very happy we discovered this cottage!
This is a great place! We’ve been looking for a great place on the lower cape where our kids can hang out in a big private back yard. The place is nice and clean and very quiet outside at night, perfect! Cape Cod Bay-and n the Atlantic ocean both very close as well as the 35 mile long bike trail.
We are happy we found this place!

Very nice people
Just what we needed!
We LOVED this cottage! It was just what we needed. Great location, peaceful, close to beaches, bike path, and dining. Each room was nicely decorated and cozy...got the best sleep. Highly recommend!
Love having this guest stay at my place.
We Love This Cottage!!!
My friend and I have come back every year for five years. It is nice and peacefully nestled in the famous whispering Pines of Eastham. There is a nice breeze threading its way through the beautiful green pine tree forest from nearby Cape Cod Bay. Everything is freshly painted, clean and in great shape as usual inside. Outside there ls a great backyard for our two poodles. We have stayed at several places on the Cape and this is our favorite.

we left early & we never leave early...
We didn't expect a 5-star hotel or anything, so a little dust is fine with us, it's just that the cottage really didn't seem to be cared for at all. Everything seemed run down & in need of a lot of cleaning and updating. The pictures online didn't quite match the cottage & it was very off-putting. There were old/outdated extension cords and power strips everywhere which seems like a fire hazard, random items like signs and electronics duct taped to the walls and other electronics, patches in the walls that had never been painted, cabinet doors missing in the kitchen, even a chisel stabbed into the ceiling as a handle for the attic door. We were also nervous about the code to the key pad on the door not being updated after every visit. We didn't really feel safe being there or leaving our belongings in the cottage at all.
Then, on top of that, we just didn't get a good feeling from the place. I know that may sound a little subjective, but even our dog didn't behave normally the entire time we were there. He had constant anxiety & could not calm himself down. He's an 8.5 year old dog and we've brought him to several other rentals. He has always been calm and relaxed within the first 5-10 minutes in a new place. All three of us just had a bad feeling while we were there.
It was a very stressful time, where normally that's the exact opposite of how we feel in these situations, which is why we decided to cut our anniversary getaway short and leave early.
75%% of my summer renters have been returning happily & faithfully for several years. They love it at the cottage! Guests have related to me that there dogs get happily excited when they approach the house as they realize that they are going to be spending happy joy filled days at a favorite place.
The cottage has a new roof and is being painted completely inside and out in the Spring .
. It is the perfect location for bike riding on the nearby 35 mile long bike path that is a quarter mile up the road , is paved, and leads to First Encounter beach (1 and ½ miles away on the Bay side) as well as Coast Guard an Nauset Beach (on the Atlantic ocean side) in Eastham ( 2 and ½ miles).
People are very happy to vacation in a nice quiet house twhere they easily relax hat is close to everything they like yet is down a beautiful country road in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living.
The cabinet that holds the dishes had no door on it because many people prefer to be able to see inside the cabinet & get in and retrieve the dishes etc. with ease. Neverthe less I think I will replace that door in the Spring.
The living room now has a very large carpet on it (moms with small kids like that) because it’s a soft landing for the kids if they get rambunctious on a vacation.
Sometimes people rearrange be furniture in the living room or bedroom and it may be very slightly different but pretty darn close to the pics on the websites and the rest is completely accurate.
A few electrical power strips with built in circuit breakers are there to provide extra outlets for families who have many cell phones, laptops etc. so they can easily recharge their devices. There are no outdated extension cords there.
A few notes attached to the side of the refrigerator to conveniently explain to guests where the nearest beaches, bike trail, etc. are. A note taped to the top of the tv informs guests about the easy use of the local tv remote control choices.
There is a cover ( in the hallway ceiling ) over attic drop down stair entrance . Years ago I removed the handle to dissuade adventurous teens from getting into the attic. A small screw driver is usually used to insert between the dropdown stair cover to the attic and the frame around it so it can pry open the access cover + the stairs can be unfolded to be used to climb into the attic(owner only) .
People like the relaxed atmosphere of the house and don’t have to worry about being extra caref
