Why Sheila Long chose Honeymoon Cove

We have lived in this home and raised our children here. We have never grown tired of life by the lake. The personality of the lake is constantly changing. Whether the wind is blowing hard and the rain pouring or the sun shining and hot... there is never a time when it is not a beautiful place to live.

What makes this house unique

It is a thought provoking serene place, even within the city, escape is close at hand by just relaxing with a friend or family member or enjoying the stars at night and Venus competing with the night sky over Mt. Konocti.

Great for family fun

  • 4 of 5

The house is just as it is represented in the photos. The lake of course is the big star. We used the dock, patio and deck. We were a large group of several families and we had a relaxing weekend at the lake house. The hosts were very responsive.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Honeymoon Cove was perfect. There was lots for our multi-generational group to do: water sports, campfire, Tiki bar, enjoy the view from the house. The main home and cabins were well-loved and well-maintained, and the response of the on-site management to any needs or requests was immediate. We thoroughly enjoyed being together in the various spaces on the property, but especially in the central dining and living areas of the house. In fact our decision to sign up again for next year was unanimous. Thank you for providing a wonderful venue for our large group to enjoy together!

Great stay for a big group

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this house with a large group of friends. We had a lovely time. Being right on the water makes it easy to hop in and out of the lake. The water is very shallow in front of the house, so you can wade out a good distance.

Marcie was a pleasure to deal with, and super friendly. We had a really great stay. If you have a large group I couldn't recommend this group more highly. In particular having additional cabins for rent in the same lot is really helpful if you have any loud snorers, folks with loud snorers, or just someone who wants a tad more privacy.

!Plenty to do inside your own private oasis.

  • 5 of 5

Don't blame lake conditions on your oasis! You don't need the lake to enjoy your time here. Your in your own playground. If the lake quality is good that's a bonus. On our stay we had 3 toddlers, 8 adults and two teens. All enjoyed every minute. We had our boat moored at our own dock here. We crushed the lake a couple hours a day. We climbed Mt Knocti. We made pizza in.the outside pizza oven. We fished off the dock. We had our own splash pad for the kids. We danced in the tiki lounge with the disco lights at night. The smell of breakfast that we cooked on the outside wok grill. The evening spa time over looking at the princess that lay down to rest (MT Knocti) !!! Enjoyed our oasis!! Thanks for the kind hospitality ------

Great place to stay with lots to do

  • 4 of 5

The best part of this house was the outdoor area. There was lots to do for the kids and they had a blast (kayaking, ping pong, badminton, floating ducks, pier, hot tub, sprinkler play area, pool table). We brought a boat to the location and parked it on the pier which was very handy. Indoors the layout was a bit funky with 3 bedrooms connected to each other but it was very clean overall. There were some maintenance issues when we were there but it didn't impact our enjoyment too much (hot tub wasn't heating is the main complaint). The A/C worked fine which is super important in the summer. The couple who run the place are very friendly and always available to help. Chuck even helped me to figure out how to start my boat when we were having engine issues.

Overall the house was great for the 3 families that stayed there. We would go again if we were in a group or family reunion.

This property truly is a home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

The property was great and had tons of things to do for a Family reunion with a birthday bash. We will definately book again. The entire family enjoyed it so much, we are looking to become regulars every year.
