Narragansett Pier: park your car and walk to everything

Bedrooms 2
Space 800 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-6)

Blueberry Cove Inn has been in Narragansett for 19 years. Be surprised by this self-catered apartment located on our grounds. Although attached to the Inn it has its entrance and parking area on the Robinson St. side of the building. It has a private yard with a gas grill and patio set. We have taken our negative reviews to heart and embarked on a major remodeling of the bathroom and redecoration of the rest of the apartment. Hopefully the changes will meet guest expectations.

Enjoy a day at the beach, out on Block Island or over in Newport and then come home to the air conditioned comfort of your home away from home. Why schlep all your linens when we provide nice cotton towels and bed linens? The galley style kitchen is well supplied with kitchen basics, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, coffee maker, full sized fridge and stove.

Can't leave your work and electronics behind? Complimentary WIFI is provided for your lap top. The Hideaway has two TVs (cable), DVD, VCR, and a stereo system.

The Hideaway Suite Apartment is child friendly. Dog guests are welcome but cats are never allowed. Smoking is not allowed on the property.

Great Beach Rental!

  • 5 of 5

Rented the Hideaway Suite with friends for a week of relaxation and beach fun. The convenient location makes this a real bargain. I'm an early riser, while my friends prefer to sleep in, and I could walk easily to the seawall to watch the sunrise and walk the beach. Great food and entertainment options nearby. The suite is roomy, quiet and cozy. Having a kitchen made our trip more affordable, as we didn't feel the need to eat out for every meal. The innkeeper was accessible and helpful throughout our stay.

Wonderful Quarters and Service - Exceptional Value

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the Blueberry Cove due to the great ratings, which we understood once we stayed there. We stayed in the Hideaway Suite with a fireplace and jacuzzi. We could not have been happier. The ambiance of the suite was lovely and relaxing. Seely, the Innkeeper, provided us with excellent service. As part of that, each morning she made each guest a large, delicious, customized breakfast. The Inn has a secluded feeling; however, you are right around the corner from the beach. We ate dinner one night at Turtle Soup, which is right down the street, and has an incredible view of the ocean. Narragansett is very quiet in the winter, and so it is a perfect place for a romantic, relaxing getaway. The miles and miles of beach, as well as the Black Point Tide Pools, are lovely to walk upon. You can then come back and relax in the inviting atmosphere of the Blueberry Cove. We will definitely be back, and would recommend it to individuals, couples, or families with children. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and there are two smaller beds in the next bedroom. There is a nice yard which includes a fish pond. The inside and outside of the property are inviting and the stay is lovely!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great visit to Narragansett in the hideaway suite. We were very comfortable in these accomodations and enjoyed having the ability to fix our own meals to save some money. Plenty of room in bedrooms and living area. Great pricing for such convenience to the beaches and the innkeepers were friendly and helpful when we had questions or needed suggestions for things to do. We will be back!

The location was good and that was the only good thing about it -period. I am from South Carolina and originally had booked this apartment for the month of August. Something came up and I had to cancel but later rebooked for the last ten days of August. Sure glad I didn't have to endure that place for an entire month. I know why they call it the Hideaway Suite - I'd want to hide it too. The apartment was dirty-spent two hours scrubbing the kitchen floor myself and when I told the owner, she blamed it on bad grout. Most of the grout was missing, as was the baseboard moulding and the walls were dirty and had something stuck all over them. Dishes and utensils were few and what was there was all sticky and disgusting. I used paper instead of touching any of it. Washer and dryer hookup half installed on a bedroom wall no less, but no washer and dryer which I had asked about before booking and was told there was one. When I asked about this she said they were going to put one in but ran into electrical problems, so that was a lie. The private patio is a joke as are the entire grounds and exterior of the building. Junk thrown everywhere from old doors, windows, a Jacuzzi tub, furniture etc. just tossed everywhere around the grounds, tall, unmowed grass, dead plants and weeds everywhere, an unfinished koi pond with all the black plastic exposed, no fish but tons of weeds and algae. Trash cans overflowing,. A deck covered with junk, peeling or no paint everywhere.

The best one was when the owner dumped out some rancid bird seed, which smelled like raw sewage, right next to the apartment door and didn't bother to clean it up. The stench literally gagged me and when I went to the owner to complain all he said was that it would dissipate shortly and didn't clean it up for two days. Nothing about this place is accurate to the description or the pics they show here. The apartment is attached at the rear of the Inn these people own and they live on site as well. The guests at the Inn have the same marvelous views of trash and garbage, as they keep that side of the property no better. Thought I did my homework before I booked this place, but obviously there is something up with a lot of the reviews online. The few negative ones are the only honest ones I assure you. Don't waste your money and ruin your vacation. Stay elsewhere. The innkeepers are very good at making excuses for everything, but there is no excuse for this.

Owner's Response: I am sorry this guest was so unhappy that she made her complaints to me on the day she checked out when I could do nothing to address her issues. The yard problems were resolved when a staff member came back from vacation. She knew the kitchen floor had issues wihen she previewed the apartment in June. It wasn't dirty, the bad grout was the problem. The floor is to be replaced in Dec. The ceiling was not actively leaking and has been repaired. She expected but didn't receive financial compensation for her original cancellation fee as we had expenses trying to rebook the weeks. She has written numerous reviews on line and reported the Inn to the Building Inspector. I am pleased to say that the inspector was here today and did not feel that her complaints were justified. I hope that she and her dog enjoy their next stay in Narragansett in a setting that is more to her liking.
