Born and raised in the beautiful Adirondacks, I am retired from the auto industry where I shared ownership of a Ford-Mercury dealership. My family and I vacationed on Captiva in '97 and like so many other travels, fell in love with the enchanting little Island.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We loved Captiva and will be back. Thanks so much for everything. Best regards!
Convenient to Captiva Village, the Marina and the beach.
Our first trip ever to Captiva was wonderful, and it all started with the fantastic Sandpiper Beach House! The house is perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood. Coffee and breakfast on the comfortable lanai was a very relaxing way to start the day. A quick walk to the beach with the wagon full of beach floats, towels and chairs - ALL provided by the gracious owner - made every day a day in paradise. My 2 year-old grandson also enjoyed swimming in the beautiful, heated pool. The house offered plenty of room for privacy and togetherness for our family of 6 plus baby. The decor is so nice - but we never felt uncomfortable having 2 teens and a baby in the house. The beds are SO comfortable with luxury mattresses and linens. Everyone slept great! The state-of-the-art appliances made keeping house easy - the large, efficient washing machine and dryer were a definite bonus! And all the Stainless kitchen appliances and granite counter tops were exceptional as well - plenty of ice in the ice-maker - plenty of room in the refrigerator for 2 families to blend goodies and necessities. The baths were well-appointed with plenty of fluffy towels and large counters for toiletries. Dinner was just a quick stroll up to the main strip with so many restaurant choices - we tried them all and enjoyed them all! We loved dinner outside, listening to live music every night - then walking down to the beach to watch the gorgeous Gulf sunsets. The guys even got in a chartered fishing trip one morning. It was such a relaxing week for all of us - lovely accommodations and everything you want to enjoy within a 5 minute walk. We are definitely planning to return next year! The Sandpiper Beach House provides all you need for a relaxing, memorable vacation!
We had the best vacation ever! The location is perfect, close to the beach, pool, restaurants and shops. The décor was lovely, the living room furniture was super comfortable and so were the beds. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. all new appliances. Really enjoyed out morning coffee on the lanai. The beach was private, Gulf warm and crystal clear. All the beach amenities we needed were there such as new beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and pool floats. We didn't have to rent anything!
The owner was so nice to deal with. We will definitely be back for another week!
Another fantastic week's stay at Sandpiper Villa on Captiva. We have been very pleased with the continuous upgrades year after year. The furniture is very comfortable and great for relaxing. The house has a spacious lanai that's perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon nap, or evening drinks. We were also excited to have the very large screen, hi-def TV to watch the NCAA final four games. Sandpiper Villa is the perfect spot on the island. It's a short walk to the beautiful beach on one side, and Sunset Captiva docks on the bay across the road. My favorite feature with Sandpiper is that once there you don't need a vehicle. Shops and restaurants are a short walk around the corner. Another enduring feature is the feeling of safety that you experience in this development and on Captiva as a whole. Fishing was great this year, both on bay side as well as on the beach. We rented a boat at Jensen's Marina across the street and limited out on Speckled Trout in an afternoon of fishing. I love to fish, and this is the perfect getaway for the avid fisherman. We're definitely coming back!
We stayed at this three-bedroom home with our 2 adult sons and their wives. It was perfect for us. Beautifully, but comfortably, decorated and a truly fully-equipped kitchen. We loved the location and the access to the beach, pool and tennis courts. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We will be back!
We had another wonderful stay at the Sandpiper Villa rental on Captiva. This home is very accommodating. Being from Lansing, we were especially happy to see a new addition - a very large hi-def tv to watch our MSU Spartans in the Final Four. The furniture throughout is very comfortable. We go to Captiva to fish and relax (in that order.) Everything is within a very short walk from the house, whether you prefer throwing a line from the dock across the street, or fishing from the beach. We rented a pontoon twice during the week from Jensen's marina across the street and had a nice fish fry. The restaurants are right around the corner. Our favorite, Doc Ford's, is a little further down the road, but still within walking distance. We've learned through the years that you really don't need more than a carry-on with a few clothes (other than fishing gear) when staying here because of the washer/dryer. Restaurants are very casual. I can't imagine renting anywhere else. We're already booked for next year. Thanks, Mary!
