Spacious, convenient, easy access, close to major sites - attractions, yet in a quiet setting.

We are really impressed by the Hungarian hospitality in Budapest and in Vienna. It was a wonderful last stop of our vacation. A warm place owned and cared by Ms.Edith and her son Laszlo (in Budapest) - great host and hostess and excellent tour-guides with boundless knowledge of history and sights. Thank you.
We could not have been more impressed by this huge apartment or our host Laszlo. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and decorated with numerous curios, of great interest in themselves. Laszlo’s introduction to the culture, history and geography of Budapest was invaluable. He took us on a fascinating orientation tour, where he encouraged us to walk and to utilize Budapest’s very accessible public transport system.
Set on the Buda side of Budapest, within a short walking distance to the castle, the area, in our opinion, is the best from which to explore this enchanting city. The more commercial Pest side of the Danube is a relatively short and very interesting walk, or you can easily catch a bus, train or tram, which we did on most days. Yet, on our return to the quieter Buda side we were able to enjoy shopping for groceries, eating out at very authentic restaurants and mingling with locals. We loved our week in Budapest and can’t imagine a better host than Laszlo.
Besides being very close to the Castle District, staying on the Buda side of the river affords you the ability to get a true feeling of a wonderful neighborhood. Their are markets, restaurants, shopping and historic areas within an easy walk. As others have said, the transportation to the Pest side is easy and affordable when you want to explore the sites in that part of this beautiful city. One of our favorites in all of Europe.
We highly recommend hiring Laszlo as a guide for a day - he is a wealth of information and truly knows Budapest. His friendly, interesting dialogue of all the sites is well worth his reasonable fee. We loved that he came and fixed breakfast every morning - he was always interested in what we had seen and what we were doing next. He definitely went above and beyond every day for us -- but taking us to the airport at 4am was really the best.
The apartment itself is comfortable, fully stocked and provided everything we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the bathrooms provided all the comforts of home. The washer was an added bonus for weary travelers.
We would highly recommend this unit for the complete Budapest experience. Oh, and don't miss an afternoon at the baths. What a treat...
My famliy and I stayed here for 4 days during our visit to Budapest. The location for us was ideal because it was far enough from the city to get away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to either walk (about 30 min) or take a bus into the city. There was a city bus stop about 2 min from the apartment that took a direct line to the city center in about 5 min. The apartment was well furnished, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children). Laszlo would come over each morning and fix breakfast for us and tell us stories about the city as well as offer great advice on what to do and/or see as well as answer any questions we may have had in regrads to transportation, markets, etc. He was very friendly and his knowledge was invaluable. There are a few grocery markets in the area as well as some restaurants. However, we never had a chance to try the restaurants by the apartment but the markets had an ample selection albeit small in comparison to what we were used to. All in all it was a nice apartment in a quiet location that offered the comforts of home with the helpful addition of having someone you could get expert advice from without feeling 'like a tourist'. Many thanks for a very enjoyable holiday stay.
Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens stayed here for 5 nights. Everything about our time in Budapest was amazing! To start with, Laszlo met us at the train station and taught us how to navigate the public transportation system back to the appt. We hired him for a city tour on our first day there and that was the best decision ever! He took us to many of the major attractions, all the while teaching us how to get around. By the end of that day, we were in love with Budapest! We spent the next several days on foot and using all means of public transportation exploring this amazing city. Of course, Laszlo played a large role in making our time so memorable: what a friendly, knowledgable, and interesting man! (And none of us had ever met an Olympian before!) His morning breakfasts were healthy, tasty and filling for the long days of sight-seeing. We enjoyed staying in a residential neighborhood with the market and bakeries nearby. The pictures and descriptions are accurate and the appt was clean and spacious. Appreciated having the small kitchen and washing machine. The AC was a godsend (and plenty cool), as it was a blistering hot week during our stay. Some of our favorite activities in Budapest: Szechni baths, Labyrinth, Central Market, Fisherman's Bastian, Hungarian Folk Dancing Show, Heroes Square, Gellert Hills.....When we return to Budapest, which I hope is sooner than later, we definitely want to stay here again! Laszlo: thank you so much for your warm hospitality and wealth of information. Our tour of Budapest would have been lacking without it.
We spent a week at this apartment in Budapest with our three young children. It was just what we needed: Three bedrooms and two bathrooms gave us space to spread out and not be on top of one another. The kitchen, while quite small, was more than functional; we cooked at ate most meals there, from food we got at the convenience store (next door), bakery (also next door), or supermarket (a 5-8 minute walk). Bus and tram service are very close and very frequent, taking very little time to get into town (on the Pest side), to the metro, or anywhere else. Our only complaints were that the wifi was a bit flaky, and the air conditioning could have been a bit stronger, but I believe that Laszlo is working to improve these, and we were in Budapest for an unusually hot period. Bottom line: If you're a family looking to stay in Budapest, then we strongly recommend this apartment as a great base for your travels.
We stayed in Budapest for several days in Sept. The accommodations were great and the location was excellent. Llazso greeted us at the airport and gave us a tour of the city the next day. He was very helpful in learning how to use the local transportation system, location of money exchange and even booked a lovely evening cruise for us. My only complaint was that we did not stay longer in this enchanting city. Staying in the Buda side allowed us a flavor of being a local but yet good access to the tourist areas. Will definitely return with more friends and family to visit. Where will we stay...no question...at this bed and breakfast.
