Home sits on a large (200 by 800 yard) quiet lagoon on the Gulf side. We have all KING SIZED BEDS, plus a trundle with 2 twins. There are 2 MASTER BEDROOMS, one upstairs and one newly remodeled with King bed and new large custom shower at Poolside. Note this is a separate entry with no inside stairs to living level. There is also a new King bed upstairs in the guest room with its own full bath. The new 55" High Def TV comes with 200+ Satellite channels and also AT&T Uverse in the bedrooms. The two wrap around decks provide excellent seating for watching the amazing sunsets in the Keys. BBQ on the large gas grill, then dine alfresco on the comfy patio furniture, while possibly seeing rays jump, tarpon roll or Manatees meandering in the lagoon.

The Pleasure Island Pool is 39’x16’, with built in barstools, a Waterfall and a very large Spa with mood lighting. There are plenty of comfy chairs and lounges to relax and get the tan you crave.

The 60’ dock has water and power, as well as a fish cleaning station. A bait freezer is provided for your convenience. An outdoor shower will cool you off after a hot day of fishing. Our resident fish, commonly seen from the dock, include Tarpon and Mangrove Snapper.

Beautiful property, very conveniently located!

We stayed at this beautiful home from 7/29 - 8/5/17. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Marathon. This home has it all! Spacious 3 bedroom, 4 bath with a HUGE kitchen which is a cooks dream! The dock is new and accommodated both boats in our party. The fish cleaning station was so conveniently located at the end of the dock with electric and water... Becsuse this home is nestled just inside an inlet on the Gulf side, we did not have to worry about our boats bouncing around in a storm or worry about a wake. The huge pool was a wonderful place to hang out in after a long day out in the water.

Cindy and Tom take care of their renters... they make sure you know all there is know about the home and will meet you there upon check in to walk you through it. I HIGHLY recommend you stay in this beautiful Marathon home the next time you are in the Keys!

Super house in the heart of Marathon!

I want to thank Cindy for a wonderful stay at her amazing house in the heart of Marathon! Our family stayed there a week but we all agreed we'd like to stay longer, the house is super well equipped and felt like home. The house is centrally located in the center of town, you are only minutes from all the wonder activities that Marathon has. Cindy went above and beyond to make a stay as wonderful as it could be, I really appreciate her attention to detail. If you are planning on bringing a boat you are in luck, the house is only minutes away from ocean side or gulf side fishing opportunities. We are already thinking about next years plans and hoping to go back to this wonder oasis in Marathon!

Very simply your own small paradise in Marathon!!!.

So this was the first time staying in marathon and my daughters and I found our own private paradise with this home!! First of all I dealt with the owner, who was so friendly and personal with me. She worked with me 100% of the way from start to arrival and even when she was away on my arrival day, set it up for her neice to show me the home. Still after arriving back from her vacation later in my week she took the time to come over and visit with my daughters and I. This is so rare to find, such personal attention to detail and true caring about how our vacation went.

As for the house I can not say enough. Pictures do not do it justice. It is so beautiful, very roomy, well equipt and extremely clean. All new appliances and so many extras. Still the real beauty is when you step into the backyard. The pool and spa area and beautifuly landscaped and even has great evening lighting. From the pool it opens up to your own private dock on a deep water channel. If you have a boat bring it, if not rent one. We did for the whole week and it opened up so many more adventures for us. What a treat to have this all right in your backyard. Oh and bring your poles or use theirs cause you can fish right from the dock.

I just can not say enough about this paradise in marathon, oh wait yes I can. The sunsets are the most spectacular you will ever see from the dock over looking the gulf or even more so from the third floor deck. The house simple has it all. If you get a chance to stay in marathon you need to make this the home you stay at. You will not be disappointed. I know my daughters and I will be back next year, we are already planning the trip and for two weeks this time.

Best vacation I ever had and could not have picked a more beautiful home and pleasant owners:)

This was my first visit to marathon with my two young daughters. We booked the home online and I dealt with the owner Cindy. She was extremely helpful and so pleasant to deal with. She worked with me 100% of the way right up until arrival. Though she was away when we arrived she had her neice meet us to show us the home. The home itself was the most beautiful and well laid out vacation home I've ever stayed out. Well equipped, plenty of space and very clean. The pictures do not do it justice. As beautiful as the inside was the backyard was even more so. A private, fenced in paradise right on the water. A spectacular pool and jacuzzi that open right out to the private dock on a deep water channel. We were able to rent a boat for the week and keep it right at the house. How much more could you ask for, well how about of the most breath taking sunsets you have ever seen from the dock or even more so from the third floor deck. The colors were unbelievable!!! This is a must rent house if you get the chance. Oh and to make my stay even more enjoyable the owners after they returned from being away took the time to both stop by and spend some time with my daughters and I before we left for the week. Such personal attention is very hard to find. I can not say enough about this home. My daughters and I will be returning here next year for sure and this time for a longer stay.

Great location

Marathon is a great location. It is centrally located and is a great base camp for all of the keys. We enjoyed most of the house. The pool and dock are fabulous. We rented a kayak for the week and used it from the dock. Fished from there as well. The upstairs bedrooms were cute and in better shape than the downstairs bedroom.

For the price ($2575/wk) the house needs maintenance. I have pictures which apparently I cannot post. There are band-aids holding the ceiling tiles in place downstairs. There are water marks on the wall by the downstairs a/c unit. The kitchen is nice but there are rusty pans and serving tools that need to be thrown out. There are walls that have peeling paint and holes, lots of dust on the ceiling fans and bathroom fan downstairs. The batteries in the television remote were dead both downstairs and in one of the upstairs bedrooms. We had no dish soap or shower soap. The owner's family member brought us some dish soap after we asked for soap. I have never rented a house that didn't have some kind of soap for the showers. It would take a maintenance guy one day to knock out the stuff that needs to be done.

Just an FYI:

The third bedroom is actually outside of the main house downstairs which is ok unless it is raining. There there is no way to go up/down stairs without getting wet. The patio also slopes to the stairs so you end up walking through 3 inches of water trying to get to your room. Also if you plan to share the bathroom with 4 people, which that room is supposed to sleep, beware that it is a small sink with no counter. The shower is a good size but not more than 2 people can fit in the bathroom at a time.

Overall the house was good and it would be great if the minor fixes were done and attention to detail, like soap and non-rusty pans, were taken care of.

Owner's Response: Christina and Chris, I just read your review and would like to apologize for the maintenance items that I was not aware of that needed attention. As you are aware, I was out of town on vacation and wasn't aware of these items. I have corrected these items today. 1- I have no idea why someone would put bandaids on the ceiling tiles, all I can guess it that they popped them out with a fishing pole and didn't take time to place them back correctly. 2- The stained wall under the a/c downstairs was cleaned. The a/c had a flow problem which has been fixed. I have cleaned the fans as well. 3- I found the rusty pans and disposed of them. 4- The countertop issue in the lower bathroom can't be changed, but I will add a shelving unit to place items on. 5- The soap dispenser is usually filled at the sink by our house cleaner. I am surprised that she hadn't done so. I have addressed this with her to be sure it doesn't happen again. We never provide shower soap or shampoo and conditioner, as these are personal items that each person brings. 6- As for the batteries in the remote controls, we usually keep a supply of AAA batteries in the house, there are extras in the desk drawer. As you can imagine, with 10 remotes in the house, we don't check these remotes each week, we rely on feedback from clients. A simple call regarding these items would have been much better, so that we can make all or our clients as happy as the ones who give us great reviews.
