Come and relax in the family friendly atmosphere of our clean comfortable cabin in a mountain setting. Our cozy, custom crafted cabin is conveniently located 2 miles east of Packwood, Washington and 2 ½ hours from either Portland or Seattle. From here it is only a 20 minute drive to the family friendly White Pass Ski Area and less than 10 minutes to the entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Enjoy the beauty of a winter-wonderland including easy access to skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. During summer go river rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, four-wheeling and more.

Year round view wildlife, waterfalls, mountain meadows, and in the fall explore gorgeous colorful autumn landscapes. Just a short walk from the cabin is private Cowlitz River access with the perfect spot to watch the clouds float by the Tatoosh Mountain Range.

You will enjoy your stay here at Lake Creek Cabin. Wake up to the beauty of a new day with a cup of coffee on the upper deck – you may see elk or deer passing through the woods!

Due to the unique design of the cabin, guests may lounge in the beds and look directly out to see trees and wildlife. After a day of activity unwind in the hot tub, sip a cup of hot chocolate on the front porch or make ''mores on a camp fire (firewood is provided).

Enjoy the character of split plank trim from local wood. You will not be disappointed in your choice to stay with us.

The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare meals for up to six guests including coffee pot, microwave, electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, crock pot, hand mixer, hand blender, waffle iron and toaster. Pots and pans, dishes, silverware, bake ware and linens are all provided.

Each of the three bedrooms, one located on the ground floor and two upstairs, have a queen size bed with quality linens. In the winter enjoy cozy flannel sheets and warm comforters. A bathroom is located on each floor.

Keeping your cell phones, cameras, laptops and other electronic devices charged is easy using our convenient charging station and desk just inside the entrance of the cabin.

Electric heat and a propane stove will keep you warm and comfortable while you take advantage of broadband Wi-Fi, cable TV, or DVD player with MP3 input in the cozy living area.

Cozy, homey Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our family of 6 adults in this Cozy cabin in Packwood.Wa We loved the cabins all around homey feeling after coming back from a long day of hiking at Mt. Rainier. The cabin had everything we needed, with special touches thru out.( Love the decor and woodwork) Porch was perfect to sit out in the early morning cool air, with a cup of tea.

Beds where more than comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets it needed. The gas fire place warmed the room as we all sat around talking about our adventures. Great guide books on hand to help us plan our next days travels in the Park. *Beautiful drive into the park from the cabin* Though we did not get to use the fire pit area ( fire restrictions) We would have been spending alot of time there. Reservations where a breeze and where happy to answer any questions we had. Thank you Don and Jan for sharing your home with us. Hope to be back soon.

Plenty of room for the two of us. The bed was comfy, the couch was perfect, and it was very well taken care of. Love this cabin in the woods!

Nice, neat, cozy and convenient for a family of 4 to 6

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the cabin and we had a blast in the hot tub, especially kids!! This cabin is located at a convenient location from Mt Rainier. It was helpful in reaching the trails early before the parking spots ran out. Host was very nice and helpful and contacted me via phone to provide all the details about the cabin, Packwood and food options. Will would love to visit back soon.

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this super sweet cabin! It is just so cute and comfortable. We felt very much at home! The cabin is in a little neighborhood of other cabins. It's a nice walk down to a creek that feeds into the Cowlitz River. Our 9 year old son loved exploring down there. Plus, it's only a 10 minute drive to Mt. Rainier National Park, which is spectacular! The cabin is just outside of Packwood, which has a few restaurants to choose from and a grocery store if you want to cook at the cabin. Every night we would see elk grazing as we drove into town. The cabin has everything you need for your stay. They even provide laundry detergent for the washer. It also has a great hot tub! You do hear some road noise outside the cabin, but it wasn't at all bothersome. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Jan, one morning as we walked down to the river. She is super nice and her and her husband were very responsive. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

Excellent spot for some time in Rainier Area!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a trip to Washington and spent a few days at this wonderful home in Packwood. Excellent amenities, very spacious for likely 4-6 people (we had 4 and had plenty of room) - they definitely have the care of the renter in mind by having a lot of the little things necessary. Great hot tub and firepit for some relaxation activities after a long day of hiking. Only a few minutes from "downtown" Packwood and good proximity to Rainier (especially the Paradise area. We would definitely look at utilizing this place again if/when we come back to the area. Thanks for the great experience!

Little Things Mean A Lot!

  • 5 of 5

We are frequent visitors to Packwood and have stayed in many vacation rentals. We enjoyed the owners' Mountain Mist cabin a few years ago and this time were pleased to find Lake Creek Cabin available for our 3 day stay. Others have commented on the convenient location, the attractive decor, and the comfortable furniture. All true!

For us, though, it is the little extra touches that make for an outstanding rental experience: night lights in all the rooms, labels on the light switches, nice lamps for reading, easy entertainment set-up with clear instructions for TV and remotes, reliable Wi-Fi, and even a charging station with an extra universal cord in case we forgot to bring one. We also liked the sturdy outdoor furniture on both the lower and upper decks, plus some extra under the trees. I have limited mobility and found the two steps into house easy to navigate. For us a main floor bedroom and bath is essential. Family members who stayed upstairs enjoyed a spacious bedroom (there are 2) and another full bath.

There is river access at the far end of the small Goat Rocks community, good for rockhounds and often sights of elk in the early morning and evening. hours.
