Eco-friendly Scandinavian-style holiday lodge for two on the edge of the Pevensey Levels. The lodge is timber built, and designed to minimise its environmental impact both when constructed and during continued use. There is a spacious open plan living room incorporating a well equipped corner kitchen. The bedroom will sleep two, and can be set up either with two single beds, or zipped together as a super king sized bed. There is an ensuite shower room to the bedroom, and a separate cloakroom with WC and basin. The wide glass doors can be pushed open in the summer to give access to the terrace. The owners' garden surrounding Little Marshfoot has been planted with native species and attracts a wide range of birds and small animals.
The market town of Hailsham is a mile away, and has a good range of shops and is architecturally varied. The Pevensey Levels is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, providing a fertile wetland environment that attracts native and migratory birds. The South Downs border the Levels, giving easy access to Beachy Head and The Seven Sisters Country Park. Pevensey Castle is nearby, as is Herstmonceux Castle, home to the Observatory Science Centre with its impressive astronomical telescopes.
