THE BEST POSSIBLE LOCATION!!! In the heart of downtown Crested Butte, 50 feet from the main street, Elk Avenue and all the best retail and restaurants, and one and one-half blocks from the bus stop to Mount Crested Butte and the Mount Crested Butte Ski Area. With the best local coffee shop right next door, and across the street from the health food store, home made ice cream store and massage studios, this location cannot be beat! Just two blocks from almost every restaurant in town and GREAT people watching.

The nicest, two bedroom, two bath, rental home in town, a single family home, not a duplex or a townhouse. Historic building exquisitely renovated in 1993. Complete with 20-foot vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, two gas-log fireplaces, king memory foam matress in the downstairs bedroom and queen bed in the upstairs bedroom, SUPER comfortable Tempurpedic queen sleeper sofa (no bars or springs), complete kitchen including kitchen Aid and Bosch SS appliances and waffle iron, coffee maker, blender etc. There is also a washer and dryer, two-person Jacuzzi tub, and large tile steam shower.

The entertainment center in the living room includes a new (2012) 46' high def/3D flat screen, a CD player, Blu Ray/DVD player/Play Station 3 along with a nine-speaker, surround-sound stereo with volume controls in the master bedroom and master bath. Also in the master bedroom is a new (2014) 40' LED HDTV; the upstairs bedroom has a new (2014) 32' LED HDTV.

There is a natural gas BBQ grill just outside your door and an outdoor heater on a large patio for those chilly summer nights or morning coffee on the patio!

You will not believe the contrast from the historic and famous exterior to the luxurious interior!

Dogs are welcome!!!!! However, please be aware that guests will be required to crate their dog(s) when leaving them unattended at the house. Pet deposit and daily fees apply. The PET DEPOSIT IS REFUNDABLE after inspection. Thank you!

All funds (excluding security & pet deposits) sent are non-refundable upon receipt.

What a cool little mountain house! It couldn’t even be in a better spot to enjoy Crested Butte. Loved everything about it.

#1 Patio w/ Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

This home was comfortable and conveniently located to the main street, Elk Ave, (and actually all other "town" locations as Crested Butte is a small town) with everything in walking distance.

However, what we enjoyed most was the lovely patio with the outdoor overhead heater for the cool evening and morning. The Aspen trees were turning yellow and dropping their leaves and it just made for a lovely sight on the patio itself. I had taken my 8 month old standard poodle pup and the patio was a good place for him to hang out rather than inside the home. We all (including the pup) spent a considerable amount of time just sitting outside enjoying the lovely weather. I had taken my dog's 42" portable canvas travel crate and was pleased to find out that it was wide enough to span the distance between the wall and the kitchen island thus keeping him confined to the living/dining room and preventing him from running upstairs. Had I thought about it I would have brought a portable pet gate too as I drove up there and could have hauled it but it never occurred to me to do so. The furniture is leather and their are nice "knick-knacks" so I was hypervigilant to keep my dog away from things he might knock over and I also covered the sofa and recliner with fabric furniture covers and blankets I had brought along with me.

The interior of the home was nicely-appointed and comfortable and had everything we needed. The gas fireplace felt so nice in the cool morning. Being next to the coffee shop was super convenient for breakfast - they had delicious pastries and coffee and saved us a trip elsewhere. The reserved off-street parking was a definite plus! The complimentary shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, etc was so nice as was the convenience of a washer and dryer with complimentary detergent and stain remover. Our stay could not have been better!

Notable and comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

The location is great. The home is comfortable and has nice amenities.

The location is central in town and you can walk to everything in town. We liked sitting on the patio, which has an overhead heater. Good people watching. If you like privacy, then consider the location. We are socialable and liked it. The home is well known in town and next to popular Camp 4 Coffee. People will stop and look at the many license plates, sometimes taking pictures.

We stayed with our two children and had plenty of room between the two bedrooms and pull out couch (not your typical uncomfortable one).

We would definitely stay here again.

A week in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic Residence! The artwork is beautiful, everything is so comfortable and the floor plan supported our R&R goals. Across the street from the Organic grocery, next door to the best coffee in Gunnison county, in the heart of downtown Crested Butte. And, good linen's and a fully equipped kitchen. We loved staying in and cooking after a skiing. The dining room was a pleasure to share meals and the boys loved the upstairs loft space as I did with a little separation. Too much snow to enjoy the street face patio but no worries, the sunny deck in front of Camp 4 Coffee made up for it. Absolutely the best Air B&B residence I've ever stayed in.
