This former farm worker's cottage sits beneath Black Down Hill, the highest part in the South Downs National Park. It has kept a lot of its original character and is ideal for up to four guests. There is a bright living room that faces south and a lovely private garden area. There are two upstairs bedrooms, one is fitted with a super king sized double bed which is zip linked and can also be configured as twin beds. The other bedroom has a double bed. There is a family bathroom upstairs with both bath and shower fitted above the bath. The cottage also has a downstairs cloakroom.
On the edge of Lurgashall village with its picturesque village green, the cottage is just five miles from Petworth. It sits under Black Down Hill where there are many walks and fine views south and to the Surrey Hills. The Lurgashall Winery is only a mile down the road. Nearby Petworth is a quaint market town full of antique and small specialist shops. It is most famous for Petworth House and Park. a stately home that houses the largest number of Turner paintings outside London.
