I think the best location in Port Gruimud
We spent 2 weeks staying at this wonderful well equipped and clean apartment in Port Gruimud it's private and it's safe location that we both enjoyed and only a few mins walk from the apartment to the entrance to Port Gruimud where we spent many nights eating out at these lovely restraunts in PG.
Our 2 weeks was amazing and we didn't want to come home ... Dealing with David was a pleasure any questions that i had .. A call or email was answered quickly... I've stayed in PG before 20 years ago in an apartment not far from this one so I know the area but this location i think hit the mark and in the heart of the lagoon city and I can say that if its ok with David we will be going back next year and I personally recommend this property ..
So pleased you enjoyed returning to PG after 20 years and that the apartment met your expectations.
It would be a pleasure to welcome you back in the future.
We love this place!
We had another wonderful stay at this apartment, I believe it was our 5th time. Such a peaceful setting and a great place to totally unwind.
The apartment is fully equipped including towels and bedding and has a comfortable homely feel. It has always been hassle free booking with the owner David, and Nicola has always made sure the apartment has been ready for us and been available if we had any queries.
There are so many lovely beaches just a short drive away including cavalier and pardigon. But we also never tire of the local beaches, especially the small beach, about a 10 minute stroll away.
When reading through the comments in the guest book in the apartment , the reviews have always been very positive.
We are really hoping to return again this year if we get the opportunity.
Thanks for your kind words. It would be great to have you back this year.
Great location and views
Great location and views, David the owner was very helpful and so was Nicola who met us at the apartment. Car parking just opposite apartment, Water taxi right outside, beaches 15 minute walk or Water taxi. If visiting St Tropez or St Maxime I would suggest taking the boat as the coast road can get very busy. Have recommend to friends and we will be booking again next year
Thanks for your kind comments.
It’s great you enjoyed your holiday in Port Grimaud and that the apartment met your expectations.
I look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
Lovely apartment and view
Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Port-Grimaud. The apartment is very well kept and all was ready for us on arrival. Local agent was easy to contact and very flexible on times for meeting us with keys, etc. Apart from a couple of trips to the large supermarket, we didn't need our car at all for the week. Restaurants, beaches, markets, etc. within easy walking distance and even, as we were, a little early in the season, we still used the little road train to go up to the old village and the boat to go over for a wonderful lunch in St Tropez.
We would definitely recommend this apartment.
Perfect apartment in a stunning location
We stayed here for a week and had the most incredible time. It was my first time in Port Grimaud and I will definitely be going back. The apartment was spacious and offered everything we needed. It is in an ideal location with an easy walk to Port Grimaud town or the beach with the balcony offering stunning views of the canals. Port grimaud itself is an amazing destination with beautiful scenery, perfect beaches and incredible restaurants. I would definitely recommend taking a boat trip around the area to enjoy it to a maximum. A day trip to lively Saint Tropez or picturesque local villages like garrant are easily done by car and really worthwhile. Booking was quick & easy, thanks to David’s timely responses to the queries we had - we will definitely be going back to Port Grimaud and this apartment!
Lovely place, lovely apartment
Firstly, the apartment was as expected from reading the description and other reviews - clean, suitably equipped for simple home catering and just fine for a family of 4 with its comfortable double bed and two single beds in the 2nd bedroom. Balcony view was lovely - first thing in the morning to watch the joggers and people atending their boats as the sun came up (if you're up around 6.30am!) or to get those initial morning rays over breakfast - and then later in the evening as people returned from their cruises. The free Water Taxi was reliable and useful for transporting the 4 of us plus various beach items to either the large or small beaches depending on our mood. The large beach has better waves (although still very safe for young kids) and adjoining facilities - but is more crowded in high season. We drove (13 hours to/from Calais) and the car parking space was therefore well worth the extra cost. This year we stayed put most of the time - popping over to St Tropez to check out the market (Tues and Sats) by boat (36 euros for the 4 of us) and a bit of car exploration here and there. The coast road is obviously very busy in August so if you choose to be on it either be very patient and enjoy the view whilst you wait to move another metre or two - or try to be early or late. Plenty to see locally - within 20 mins drive - but Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Italy and inland Provence are all within 2 hours - we know cos we did all of this last year from our base just north of Port Grimaud. If you walk to/from the beaches allow 15 minutes. 10 minutes walk into the middle of Port Grimaud to shop, browse, eat. Overall, we knew Port Grimaud well from visiting several times last year so knew what to expect - and our expectations were well met - a relaxing and enjoyable fortnight in a beautiful location with very pleasant accomodation. Both the owner and the on-site representative were easy to comunicate with beforehand, on the day and during our stay. We had a wonderful holiday and I'm happy to recommend it to others. We will definitely consider returning.
Map
Port Grimaud sits at the end of of the Gulf Of St Tropez half way between the towns of Ste Maxime and St Tropez. There are many picturesque Provencal villages within a short driving distance including the medieval village of Grimaud with its ruined hilltop castle and narrow streets and gassin with its spectacular views over the Gulf and beyond to the Alps. Historic Marseille and cosmoplitan Nice are both an hours drive away and are served by budget airlines. Cannes, famous for it's film festival, is just under an hours drive away along the famous 'corniche' spectacular coast road. The glamorous principality of Monaco with its designer shops, world famous casino and history of motor sport is just over 1 hour drive away.
