Enjoy sunsets over the Humboldt Bay at Baxter's Bayview Cottage. This separate guesthouse set next to the owner's home is ready to grant you the serene getaway you've been wishing for! The living space boasts sweeping views of the Humboldt Bay with a cozy sitting area, gas stove, and cable TV. For your morning coffee or full-course dinners, the well-equipped kitchen is well-equipped and very accommodating. The bedroom is pristine and comfortable offering a good night's rest, and the futon now has a foam mattress topper for increased comfort.

THINGS TO KNOW
Be aware that there is a long term tenant that lives on-site. Please be respectful.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Security camera details: There are two cameras located externally. One faces the bottom of the driveway and points out to the street, the second points across the driveway. The front door of the home isn’t in with frame, just the driveway and street partially.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location

Nicely appointed small apartment right next to a lovely park. Easy access to all of Arcata. Larger cars might want to park on the street, the driveway is very steeply angled

Nice hidden gem

This property is so clean! It also has a lovely view from the tall table. While it is 1/4 block from the Community Forest, there is no public entrance up the hill there—you walk down the block and up the hill to the right to the park. But it is a lovely resource to have pretty close. You can also drive up there, park in the lot and save your steps for the glorious woods.

Amazing ocean view will all the amenities you want

We loved spending a week here while attending a music workshop on campus. We walked back and forth (17 minutes) and also into town for groceries and restaurant dining. The hosts invite you to enjoy the view from the lovely patio complete with Koi pond and abundant flowers. The inside is charming, clean, and new. We only caught a glimpse of Baxter the cat. Last but not least, the cottage is located at the entrance of Redwood Park which has forest trails to enjoy.
