About the property

Beth’s Hawaiian Hideaway

Aloha and welcome to Beth’s Hawaiian Hideaway in South Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. This King bed studio is a romantic place for your stay on the Big island. You may cook your own meals in the kitchen (gas stove top, full size refrigerator & microwave) or dine out-it’s your choice. We are close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and many activities and a great jumping-off place for other activities around the island. This adorable and spacious (600 sq. ft.) king studio is open, bright and airy. The entire ocean facing wall of the Hideaway is filled with windows and peaceful views of the lawn, (horseshoes and badminton anyone?) landscaping, trees and the coastline up to Kealakekua Bay.

Enjoy the lovely living room area with “elephant” bamboo couch and chairs, cable TV, DVD player and both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Sleep like a baby in the comfy king size bed and relax in the private bath with tub and shower, complimentary robes included. The beautifully equipped kitchen is there for those who’d like to cook. You have your own BBQ. You will have a separate entrance and privacy in a beautiful residential area. All suites have a TV with basic cable, DVD and internet access.

There is also a shared pool.

This is a great place for couples or anyone who would like to have a wonderful Kona, Big Island vacation rental that’s much more affordable and offers more privacy than most condos and B and B’s offer. You will have access to three stand up paddle boards and 3 kayaks free of charge. All suites have a TV with Direct Satellite TV , DVD and internet access.

What makes this apartment unique

We are less than 10 minutes from two great places to snorkel & kayak, (Two Steps at Honaunau) right at the entrance to Pu’uHonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. (City of Refugee) and Captain Cook's Monument, home of The spectacular marine sanctuary at Kealakekua Bay. That offers an abundance of colorful tropical fish, a variety of beautiful coral reefs and visibility often to 100 feet. The calm, protected waters and sunny skies of Kealakekua Bay provide superior snorkeling and diving year round, with the water temperature averaging 76 degrees.

The Hideaways have a full kitchen “Paniolo King suite” or efficiency kitchen ”Plumeria Queen suite” for your own meals or we are located near some very nice restaurants.

We have wireless connection for our clients.

We hope that you will book with us and share our beautiful location.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"My first trip to Hawaii could not have been more magical. Staying at Beth and Dave's place was simply great. Every detail was accurately represented in their property description. If anything, it was way BETTER than they had put into their entry. Charming is an understatement. The place is oozing the creative character in gracious style of the hosts. All the amenities were great, including some bells and whistles that one doesn't normally expect - kayaks, bikes, pool, etc. Beth & Dave where helpful, knowledgeable and lovely to be around. The location was wonderful, close to fantastic snorkeling and some of the best sea kayaking of my life. We actually had 2 humpbacks breach 20 ft. off our sea kayak one sunset outing at Pt. of Refuge!!! WOW!!! If you are interesting in experiencing some outrageous nature and staying in a comfortable home-like setting it can't be beat. This is a fantastic accomodation and we will definately be recommending it to friends and family. More importantly, we'll be coming back to paradise to stay here again. We already miss our gecko friends we made there.

Thanks again!

Loved the fun and funky Hawaiians decor in this perfect hideaway studio. Welcoming ambiance and hosts. Homey touches of fresh fruit, coffee and macnut chocolates to greet us. Flexible check in/out times. An amazing array of beach toys. Paradise found!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Beth and Dave could not have been nicer or more thoughtful. They thought of everything one could need from the kitchen to pool and beach equipment. The rooms (I was a repeat customer so I've seen the two main rooms) are decorated with Beth's wonderful eclectic collection of all things Hawaian including the ukeulale. The pool is nice too.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Beth's Hideaway! Dave was great. Just far enough off the beaten path to feel relaxed, yet close enough to everything you need! Great snorkeling is about 5 minutes (even if you get turned around with google maps). Great advice from Dave regarding places to see and places to eat.

LOVED IT!

Lovely property with views of K-Bay, fresh fruit, and great hosts. The unit was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, lots of great guide books, and equipment to use!
