About The Owner

We, Tim and Beth Kaiser, have always loved going to the mountains. From our honeymoon over 25 years ago to Western North Carolina to many trips with our 3 daughters over the years, the Appalachian Mountains have always been a destination for our family. After tiring of the crowds and commercialization of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, we discovered the town of Blue Ridge around 2000. With at least one trip a year to the Blue Ridge Area over the next 8 years we really got to know what we liked to do, where were the best locations to stay and purchased our cabin in 2008.

Since 2008 my family has enjoyed many nights in peaceful mountain solitude while being right in the heart of trails, waterfalls and river activities. Having stayed in many rental cabins ourselves we try and treat our renters as we wanted to be treated and make their stay as enjoyable as possible.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2008

Why The Owner chose Northwest High Country

This property had everything we look for when we rented cabins ourselves. Solitude - quiet area away from crowds and congestion. While there are other cabins around, they are difficult to see especially when leaves are on the trees. I like to say that you are close enough to others to feel safe, but far enough away that if you stay on our property you might not see another person on your trip. Location - the cabin is located right in the middle of our favorite things to do in the area (Aska Adventure Area) and close enough to towns if you need that as well. 20 minutes to Blue Ridge, 25 to Blairsville and 30 to Ellijay. Quality - The cabin itself was very well designed for a smaller cabin maximizing space.

Perfect Place to Escape it All

  • 5 of 5

My family loved the cabin. Every time I worried I'd forgot something I turned around and the house was stocked with it already. The screened in porch is amazing and a great place to enjoy nature without the bugs. And the lights are a nice touch 👍🏾

Private & secluded but not too remote, beautiful surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in several North Georgia cabins over the last few years and this one is definitely our favorite to date. The cabin itself is well laid out and feels roomy and the screened in porch is a huge plus. We had most of our meals on the picnic table located on the porch while enjoying the scenery and fresh mountain air. The woods view and mountain view are both beautiful, and in the mornings we especially enjoyed the overlook facing the distant mountains as a way to welcome the day. Every minor detail was covered by the cabin owners on paper, through email, and through the VRBO/HomeAway app. If you have a question, just read- it's probably already been answered. WiFi was great when we needed it, movies on the DVR were a plus, gas fireplace was easy to manage, hot tub was relaxing and roomy, fire ring was great to sit around with the furnished chairs and picnic table. My only suggestion is that if you want to do some exploring on foot (we walked down to the nice stream close by) then be prepared to encounter some fairly aggressive dogs. The neighbors had 3 that made sure we knew they didn't want us walking by. Mind you, they never crossed the property boundary and got too close, but my young daughters were definitely intimidated and scared by them getting so close and barking/growling. If that bothers you, you may want to drive past them and hike the remaining distance to your destination. I personally never felt threatened- they were just being good guard dogs and I would have been proud if they were my own. Overall, we felt very relaxed and at home while at Kaiser Kabin and had nothing short of a wonderful experience. With places like this who would ever want to stay in a hotel?!

Our family had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful and well maintained. So many things to do just off the driveway. Centrally located to a lot of North Georgia cities. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the fire circle. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone!!

Such a perfect property for us

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great trip. As a first time cabin renter this was perfect for us. Our girls loved the movies available on the dvr. Everything was wonderful. We especially loved sitting in the hot tub on cold evenings. Tim, the owner sent us messages regarding the weather which we were thankful for. And our girls got to see their first snow.we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We can't wait to return next spring break.

Very cozy and relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed this cabin, and Blue Ridge as well. We stayed for a long weekend...getting there was easy and the place was ready to issues whatsoever. Very easy working with Tim and Beth to book...all information needed was given to us in plenty of time and all was easy to understand...great rates too. Definitely worth booking.

It's a very nice place - clean, comfortable, secluded...peaceful...almost looks/feels brand new. Everything you need is there...just bring your own food of course. Everything was in good working order...grill, hot tub, fireplace, TVs...etc. Plenty of towels (for the two of us anyway)..should be for four, which seems to be the max here. Although, kids (anyone really) can crash on the couch, floor...and we did notice one or two blow-up mattresses in the closet, so 6 comfortably it appears. Didn't use the washer/dryer but appeared in great shape/clean for longer stays.

We also loved Blue Ridge...the main street with its shops/restaurants...and we went to the drive-in off East 1st Street one night we were there. Brought back some nice memories of childhood and wife had never been to one. First run movies...very nice staff, great was really fun. We made a wrong turn heading into town on our first day so we got to see more of the mountains than we had planned...but that was fun too, seeing all the different homes/cabins in the area. And..we love adventures so wrong turns don't bother us... :-)

Again, overall we just loved the place...and hope to return, would so again in Kaiser Cabin. We highly recommend everything about it. Oh...when turning into the property, be on the look-out for the neighbors dogs...they like to come out and say hello. No worries, they're friendly...
