Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

This is an incredible apt for 6 or more, in a unique location :

• The apt is located in a castle like stone building built in the 19th century

• The apartment is designed like a small castle

• 2 bathroom + 2 bedrooms with 2 toilets + a sofa bed in living room + mezzanine with DBL bed

• The location is perfect, central as well as traffic free in Montmartre

• A charming courtyard is shared with the other inhabitants

The apartment is located on the ground floor and gives on the quiet and charming courtyard garden. It is a perfect place to take a drink (in a calm way, of course).

The apartment layout is original & charming: there is a main space, a bedroom, a large closed mezzanine and a small extra one. The apt may sleep 6 guests easily (and could accommodate 8 on request only).

From the courtyard, one enters the apartment into the living/dining room which is bathed in natural light. The ceiling is “castle height”. It has a wooden floor, dining table and a single sofa on the left. The sofa can be used as a single bed on request. Living room is decorated with bookshelves up to the ceiling. It is linked to the open kitchen through a great “chapel like” opening. Large spiral stairs lead to the main mezzanine on the opposite side.

The 1st bedroom is located on the right of the entrance. Its window opens on the quiet courtyard greeneries. It offers a comfortable double bed and is a very pleasant small bedroom to sleep in.

One continues in the living room to discover the small mezzanine area on the right again. Under the mezzanine is a TV area with a double sofa bed. It is an area that can be used an open bedroom. Above, the mezzanine is accessed by stairs (not for children) and offers another comfortable double bed. This mezzanine is just a sleeping place and not full body height. It should be used on request only.

Finally, on the right just before the kitchen, is located the 1st bathroom. It is equipped with a shower, sink, mirror and toilet.

The kitchen is open on the living room and ceramic tiled. It is fully equipped and nicely designed. Behind the kitchen is an area for storage where on find the fridge, washer and a large closet.

Climbing the spiral staircase leads to the main mezzanine. It can be fully closed, like a small apartment without kitchen. It offers an office area, a nice bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and a second bathroom with bath and shower & toilet. A balcony gives on another charming inner courtyard through beautiful stain glass doors.

The apartment gives a general feeling of warmth and quietness. It is delicately warmly decorated with stained glass, nice inside openings and wooden furniture.

The location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

In case you need assistance we are staying minutes from the apartment.

Neighborhood:

Montmartre is a village within Paris: it combines the atmosphere of an ancient village with trendy shops and fabulous restaurants. Many artists and movie stars live in the district. It is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

As you walk through Montmartre you will pass many winding and picturesque streets with fascinating houses, stairs and wonderful views over Paris. Look for the Montmartre Vineyard, walk to 'Place du Tertre' where artists will offer to draw your portrait and see Picasso’s house and the Salvador Dali museum. Visit the famous Sacre Coeur Moorish-looking church.

On the 'Rue des Abbesses' you will discover shops, cafes and clothing stores and in 'Rue Lepic' you will come across the market, wine shops - the cheese shop was rated n° 3 in France – bakeries and charcuteries. It’ll take a few days to select your preferred “café” !!! Walk down to the Moulin Rouge and experience the Paris nightlife.

The Champs-Elysees is only a ten-minute Metro ride; the Eiffel Tower, Le Marais, Les Halles, and Saint-Germain are all between 15- 20 minutes from Abbesses.

About The Owner

In Beau Paris is a Vacation Rental Agency operating in Paris for more than 10 years.

We manage close to 100 apartments in Paris, all of very good to luxury standard.

We take care of the advertising of apartments, the reservation process from payments to security deposit refund; and even the cleaning and the maintenance of the apartment.

We would be very happy to host you in one of our apartments that you will find on VRBO Listing #26870.

We do very little brand name advertisement. We focus on what matters: MAKING SURE OUR GUESTS ARE SATISFIED (check the reviews on any of our apts. Recent apts do not have reviews yet).

We believe it is the best way to develop our activities which have been growing steadily every year. You are welcome to try our service.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1998

Why The Owner chose Paris Arr. 18 (Montmartre, Sacre Coeur)

We selected this property because of its great location close to Sacré-Coeur, Montmartre Cemetery, Dali Museum, Abbesses and the apartment unique position inside a castle-like stone building.

It is the main residence of the owner. He rents when going to his secondary residence. For a guest, renting a main residence is a warranty of high quality : it is always maintained at top level. Obvioulsy, the owner puts away personal belonging. There is more than enough space available for guests.

WE DO CARE ABOUT PROPERTIES WE MANAGE.

What makes this apartment unique

We know searching for an apartment can be a nightmare :

that is why, from beginning of your search to the end of your stay, you will have REAL PEOPLE INTERACTING WITH YOU, not automatic mailing or automatic booking.

WE ARE PROFESSIONALS.

We answer to each request and send a detailed quote & contract on each request. We believe the instant quote given on the site is not precise enough for a guest to book an apt.

We react fast, be it by mail (often in the hour, max 24h, we have evening shift), Immediatly by phone. Note we do not take booking on the phone nor discuss prices or availability, risk of mistake is too high. E-mail is much more secure & precise. We nevertheless are happy to answer specific questions.

During your stay, we are always available. We can advise you on how to use the apt. We run a night emergency line, for real emergencies :-). When problem arise, we do our best to solve them, quickly.

We want our guest to have the best memories of their stay. We have a high rate of returning guests : it seems they do.

Great location for a family trip.

  • 5 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. The apartment was as described, clean and roomy enough for a family with grandmother and 3 kids. The location was wonderful - lots of bakeries, grocery shops, and restaurants around. Only a 5 min walk to the metro.

The management was responsive - we've had a couple of hiccups during our stay - wifi didn't work initially, a new gate was installed that we didn't have a code for. But it was all addressed before it became a problem.

One small note of constructive criticism - although a pharmacy and a grocery store is just around the corner, it would be nice to have a bar of soap in the house upon the arrival! We went out and bought it immediately, but it'd be nice not to have to worry about it after our long flight.

Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Unique apartment

  • 4 of 5

Our party of 6, 3 adults and 3 teens stayed in this quirky apartment in Montmartre for a week. All arrangement before arriving were straight forward but you do have to go a few blocks away to get the key and return it on check out. There is some construction going on across the street but it didn't bother us. The pictures are true to the apartment however the kitchen utensils and pots and pans are a rather interesting collection. The light switches are fun to figure out. The beds are comfortable and the apartment was clean. Karen answered all of our inquiries by email very quickly. The location is great for metro line to get you anywhere. We liked this quirky apartment in Paris. It was our home away from home.

The property was very clean, well equipped and in a very quiet part of Paris but well served by metro

  • 4 of 5

Unfortunately there were two lots of building work going on,both front and back.Normally I should imagine it would

be a very quiet property. Our party consisted of two grandparents, our eighteen year old grandson, his partner and our

Eleven year old grandson. All found the property ideal and the area is well served by shops and restaurants. There are

three nearby making all areas of Paris easily accessible. All in all an ideal base but away from the busiest parts of

the city.Without the building work we would highly recommend this property.

Splendid and unique apartment

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this splendid and unique apartment!

It’s one of several apartments that have been carved out of an old mansion from the early 1800s and is full of light, literature, art and ambience.

Someone lived in this apartment for many years - someone who was a voracious reader, an art critic, and a world traveler. We felt as if perhaps Audrey Hepburn had lived here in a movie from the sixties, and that nobody had touched a thing since that time.

The kitchen is fully equipped. The dining room table seats 6, plus 3 at the bar. Both of the bathrooms (one with shower, one with tub) are roomy with plenty of hot water. There are two bedrooms plus a third and a fourth sleeping area, so four couples could easily stay here, making it very affordable. There is plenty of space. The ceilings are at least 18 feet high in the living room area and there are floor to ceiling bookshelves packed with interesting stuff!

I could go on and on about the stained glass windows, the private outdoor space, the art from all over the world, the tiny balcony that overlooks a charming staircase to another apartment, the quiet dead-end street that makes you feel like you are not in the heart of busy Montmartre even though you are, etc. but just trust me. If you have a romantic inclination, you’ll love this place.

Perfect and right in the heart of Montmartre

  • 5 of 5

The estate agency is very well organised. The house is located in a strategic position, right in the heart of Montmartre, surrounded by shops, markets and restaurants. The atmosphere in the house is perfect. The flat can easily host 6 people and is equipped with good furnitures. Highly recommend.
