We're happy to offer this great, open concept 5 bedroom/3 bath large house, & offer it at a rate you'll love!

There is a 2nd kitchenette downstairs, DSL wi-fi, 4 TVs (Dish Network), a large screened porch & decks galore. We've painted the rooms bright and cheery colors. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath. Also upstairs is another bedroom with a king bed, and the third bedroom upstairs has 2 sets of bunks. On the ground level, in addition to the kitchenette and den, are 2 more bedrooms (one w/ a queen bed, the other has 2 twins).

The beach access is just across the way, and the beach is wide and sandy 24/7. (Pets are considered with a non-refundable fee.)

Fripp Fans for Life

Just returned home from another great week at Fripp. Stayed at 744 Marlin Drive for the first time and loved it! Having a den upstairs and another downstairs was great for our crew as it gave the teenagers some space, as well as the adults! The front porch became a gathering spot each night as well. Would highly recommend the house! Looking forward to the next trip!

Beach life

As always we had a great time!! We've been coming to Fripp and staying at 744 Marlin now for approximately 8 yrs. and absolutely love it and the memories we make. I have never had any major issues and if there is or was they have been addressed and handled. Furthermore I also have rental properties and have learned over the years that it is next to impossible to make some people happy no matter what you do. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Terrible Experience!

My family has vacationed on Fripp Island for several years, and this was the first bad experience we have ever had in renting a home on Fripp Island. Our experience in this home did not change our love for Fripp Island, but has caused us to be much more cautious in renting a home. The beach was fabulous, the staff employed by the resort were great, and all of the amenities at the resort were amazing! Outside of our bad experience with this home, we had a fabulous time! There were several things that made our week at this rental home terrible, but I would list just a few below:

1) The check-in process was NOT as described in the contract, nor completed in a timely manner. With that being said, the people that cleaned the home prior to check-in were very friendly, and did a great job. It was the property manager or her designee that failed to meet us at the home or provide us with any of the requested information/items. When I asked the property manager why things were not handled in a proper manner, she simply stated that she was simply "too busy." Our check-in time was listed as 4pm (or later), however the house was cleaned by Tammy (housekeeper) and her co-workers SEVERAL HOURS before 4 pm, but our family was not allowed to enter the home at all until 4:01pm.

2) While staying at the house, we made the property manager aware of several issues, none of which were addressed at all.

3) The furniture on the screened in porch, as well as the deck, was in terrible shape. Several of the metal chairs were dangerous, but we did not notice until my 8 year daughter sat down in a chair, and it immediately fell apart.

4) The front door did not lock properly, did not seal properly (which released cool air from the home), and had a large crack down the middle of it.

5) The property manager did not accompany me or anyone else in our group on a complete walk through of the property, however sent an email to me on the Monday after we checked out stating that we had left holes in the sheetrock in the dining room. I noticed the small holes in the dining room wall, upon our arrival to the home, however, still to this day (11/20/15) my security deposit has NOT been returned to me.

6) The bathrooms in this home are very out of date and TINY! We were traveling with small children, and having only one bathtub was very inconvenient. The description of the home states that it has an "open concept" which is not accurate.

Owner's Response: It's distressing to read an unfavorable review. It's the first in over 20 years of managing several homes on Fripp. We'll just have to agree to disagree. My recollections of your stay differ drastically from yours. The primary issue is the holes in the kitchen wall found at your departure. Tammy (the housekeeper you rightfully praised in your review) and her helper, along with 2 other people, were in the house just prior to your arrival and immediately after your departure. All four remember the prominent, large red wall being intact before, and then with holes after your stay. Through private emails, I offered to return your security deposit ($250 was the deposit you paid, as opposed to $400 you asked for) if you would correct your review to more accurately reflect events. I have not received a reply. Again, the owners and I regret this incident occurred, and our offer stands.

Damage Deposit $250

The minimum stay between Memorial Day and Aug. 12 is SEVEN nights. Between Aug. 12 and Sept. 2, a three or 4 night booking will be accepted with a Tuesday - Saturday departure only. The minimum stay for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's is FOUR nights. Linens and departure housekeeping are included. Rates/booking not confirmed until signed and accepted by rental agent &/or owners.

Half the rent/tax is due at booking with the balance due one month prior to your arrival (along with the refundable security deposit and Club amenity card funds if purchased). Timely personal checks are accepted (no credit cards).
