About Chalets at Tudor Rose

Terre' and Jon have been dedicated lodging operators since 1994.

Chalets at Tudor Rose purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Chalets at Tudor Rose chose Salida

We have been in the Salida area since 1994 and we custom built all 5 of the Chalets. Each Chalet is unique, but they are similar. We constructed the Chalets in a grove of Pinon pine trees and only lost one tree in the entire year long process. Salida and Chaffee county are know for its clean mountain air and stunning views !!! Come on up and enjoy !!

What makes this cabin unique

Easy access to town, but it feels like you are in a different world on our property. It's quiet, peaceful, has the feeling of being secluded in the middle of nowhere, but within minutes you can take part in the many area attractions and activities. Oh, the night sky is unbelievable !!!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is our second trip to Chalet #1. Love the area, enjoyed our stay so much before that we had to come back !! Love that we can stay with our dogs and it's no hassle. Ruby and Sadie, our red dobies love the loft !!

Great Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

The Chalets are private, well-appointed, and an easy drive to Salida for dining and entertainment options. Fall was a perfect time to visit with fewer visitors and temperate climate. Check in at the B&B, but ring the doorbell since the Inn is locked most of the time. The Chalets are well-built as we couldn't hear the occasional passing vehicle from a neighboring chalet. Open meadow & mountain vistas provide serene landscapes . The 3/4 trail loop from the chalets is not a flat "stroll" but provided an opportunity to spot deer nearby. We will return .

Great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Chalet #5 and it was perfect for our group as it accommodates wheelchair travelers. The spacious ground floor bathroom was big enough to hold the service dog's crate. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to make breakfast and grilled steaks on the outdoor grill for dinner. The main living space was comfortable and homey and good for cocooning with loved ones we don't see often enough. If you will be sleeping in the loft, I recommend you bring a sleeping mask as the heat comes from the fireplace and it puts out a good bit of light along with the heat. There is a wonderful upper window that brings in early morning light as well. The bed closer to the railing in the loft has the better view. It was a great location, very quiet but very convenient to town. I would love to go back.

Wonderful cabins & property!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our anniversary in one of the cabins with our 2 dogs and it was magical! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make yummy dinners and the cabin was immaculate! Jon & Terri went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Salida is a wonderful town to explore as well. We went gallery hopping and took several hikes in the area. We will certainly be back for visits in the future and will be staying there!

Cozy and quaint getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice time staying at a Tudor Rose Chalet. The property was really nice and we were actually the only guests staying in the chalets so it was very peaceful and quiet. The chalet was really nice and clean with a kitchen, a separate bedroom and a loft with two more beds. We had a wonderful stay and were able to bring our dog which was great. It is about 1.5 miles from downtown Salida, so a short drive in to town. The property still feels remote even though it is close to town. We would definitely recommend staying here.
