LOVE Camp Run a Muck!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Camp Run a for a week and absolutely fell in love with it! Spacious, clean home, wonderful deck, beautiful setting, and no steps to the water! Just a gradual slope; easy walk to the water/dock and the fire pit. We will be staying here again! The upstairs with it's full bedroom and huge loft is perfect for the kids/young adults; their own retreat.

A wonderful place to get off the world and relax

  • 5 of 5

Camp run a muck is just what we have been searching for for five years. The perfect cove with a great house. While the house has more of a lodge type feel, it was certainly adequate for our two families. The cove is absolutely amazing and was just what we wanted for our ten day stay. Easy no stair access to the lake was a must for some of our group. I do think that people renting this house need to be aware that it is a northwest hunting cabin style retreat. The word "camp" fits the property well, but with all the amenities needed for large or small families. If you want to get of the grid and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and its surroundings this is the place. We have already booked our return trip for next year.

camp run a muck

  • 2 of 5

Two of the beds downstairs need to be replaced now. The microwave carousel does not turn. Making a bag of popcorn cannot be popped let alone trying to heat up other things evenly. There was no key available for the gate to drive down the cart path. Fortunately we found the keys on the ground next to the gate. We did not understand why there wasn't any window coverings. Not being able to use the house phone to call out was frustrating when our cell phones did not work. The house overall needs some maintenance and updating. I would expect to not have these problems when we rent a house. In fact after renting houses for the last 4 years on Norris lake this is the first house that we were not happy with.

Owner's Response: We are sorry the renter did not fully enjoy the property. Run A Muck is managed locally by a professional property manager. Unfortunately the renter did not inform the property manager of any issues during the rental period. If the microwave or anything else was not working properly or was not satisfactory it would have been immediately fixed had the manager been made aware. The gate is intentionally locked because the path is not intended to be used for vehicles larger than a golf cart. The house phone works absolutely fine for local calls. If renters want to make long distance calls, all they need to do is use a calling card or call collect. Long distance phone calls are not included in the rental cost.
