About Ellen & Richard McBride

We have been enjoying our condo for many years and manage to keep it up to date. Coming from the East coast we appreciate Park City's snow and our wonderful location.

Why Ellen & Richard McBride chose Old Town

LOCATION. We love deciding to ski and riding the lift up fifteen minutes later. Our kids and now our grandchildren enjoy it as well.

What makes this condo unique

Our off street quiet location,, heated pool and hot tub just steps away and newer amenities like flat screen tv and wifi add to the fun.

Ski condo close to 3 Salt Lake City ski resorts

  • 5 of 5

My family and I truly loved your condo - we were close to The Canyons (our favorite for day skiing) and to Park City (our favorite for night skiing). The contemporary decor, the cleanliness, the carpeting and thoughtful places to put our wet boots or hang our clothes. Everything was 1st class inside the apartment. Outside was a jacuzzi which we had all to ourselves on many occasions. The other two things always plentiful was the snow (February) and a parking spot, thanks to the hard-working snow plow of the management company.

Owners prompt to return contact

  • 3 of 5

Much more than 200 yards, more like 350 or 400 yards to nearest ski lift. Owners were prompt in answering questions. Room was clean. One bedroom very cold. Ski storage room very handy, was helpful to drop equipment there so you didn't have to bring it up and down the three flights of stairs.

Owner's Response: Glad that you basically had a good stay. The heat for the second bedroom is controlled with the thermostat in the living room and therefore can be cold especially if you have used the gas fireplace. We supply an electric heater in order to help with this. Our other bedroom has its own thermostat and therefore is easier to control. While I agree that the ski room is the way to go, we are really only up one flight when the office is open.

The property is older but pretty well maintained.

I was at the condo August 1 - Nov 19, 2016. The owner is very helpful if problems occur. There is no elevator and, since the unit is on the third floor, moving in and out, groceries etc. can be challenging. Also there's no air conditioning. There are two sliding patio doors which face to the east and the breeze helps keep the condo fairly comfortable in hot weather. The seasons changed during my stay and the weather became cooler. The fireplace provided a nice ambiance and helped warm the living area. Thermostats are preset but you can give the temp setting a temporary bump up if needed.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The walk downtown is short and easy or you can catch the free bus which stops out front.

Owner's Response: Thank you Marilyn. Unfortunately you failed to note that there was no air conditioning . There are usually only a few days that it is needed in the mountains. When our office is open the condo is only up one set of stairs in our staggered building. I offered to speak with you prior to rental but you declined and therefore did not get the information you needed. I am very glad that you ended up enjoying your stay. While the condo is not new it is kept up to date.

The property and owner were great. Close too the lifts . Very way to work with.

The codo was well stocked and clean. Th negatives were the beds - they were very hard! Also the number of keys you had to deal with - two outside keys - a different key to enter the building. They should kid go to a keyless entry system .

It was an easy walk to park city and right on the bus route . The owner was great, the condo is nice for 4 people .

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Beds are tricky as some people like them harder than others .We will take into consideration your comment. Keys are an issue and until the board decides to rekey the entire complex I am afraid that we are stuck with two keys( one for the door entrance, pool, and garage and the other for the condo. ) We will always send more than two sets of keys if they are requested so that is not a problem.
