About the Property

This charming, turn-of-the-century home is located in the historic district of St. Augustine. It is three blocks from Flagler College and three blocks to St. George Street. It is situated between the intra coastal waterway and Matanzas Bay. Anastasia Island and St. Augustine Beach are less than 10 miles away. There are other beaches close by: Vilano, Ponte Vedra. World Golf Village is also about a 10-mile drive, with eight golf courses. Shopping is plentiful. There are numerous boutiques, with unique items. Two outlet malls are located directly off of I-95, nine miles from the house, with many designer stores.

There are many sites to take in and things to do in town: museums, tours, carriage rides, walks along the bay are but a few. Restaurants are plentiful.

House is cozy. The master bedroom and kids' room each have flat screen TVs with DVD players. Private back yard, fenced.
Come enjoy the 'Oldest City.'

Owner info

Year Purchased: 2003

About the owner: I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, north of St. Augustine. SA always seemed like a magical place to me then and I loved going there for the beaches and sightseeing. I moved to Atlanta to attend school and build a career. SA became the part of Florida I always returned. It is my favorite place to spend time, and I look forward to making SA Florida my residence in the future. I was right, as a child: St. Augustine is magical!

Why the Owner Chose Downtown Historic District, St Augustine, FL, USA:
This home has been a favorite of mine for 20 years. I had the opportunity to purchase it in 2004 and could not resist. The location is perfect for a visit to St. Augustine. It is located in the historic district, but just a block or two from the traffic area. The drive over to the beach is a breeze... It is beautiful. It is comfortable and homey. I always hate to leave.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
I often park my car and not use it for days. It is convenient to everything. The beauty of the huge oak trees still blows me away. The sound of the church bells from Memorial Presbyterian, two blocks away, is a delight. I love early evening strolls through downtown. It is as if you have escaped to another centuray. The architecture is stunning.
