Lots of space for sleeping, great location

  • 4 of 5

We found this house while looking for a place to accommodate 24+ people over New Year's weekend. This house was affordable, and offered more than enough room. With four kitchens in four distinct living areas (including the carriage house), we had plenty of sleeping room and space to prepare meals. We had enough bathrooms, too.

The house is in a location that is convenient to the beach and shopping - we walked to both. I imagine the beach would be a less convenient in the summer, as you'd need to slog all your beach gear a few blocks, but since we weren't staying on the beach it was perfect.

Two drawbacks - one big and one small. First the big one: there's not much common space in the house. The living/sitting rooms are small. When the weather is fair, the back patio is more than ample for a house full of guests, but otherwise you'd better like the people you're with. Secondly, the house is older and as suc

Our owner/host was friendly and responsive. I'm glad for his clear and timely communication.

All-in-all a very good experience.

Perfect for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We had a weekend family gathering of 18 people over Columbus day weekend. The house has plenty of rooms for everyone. Three kitchens meant no one needed a cooler. Plenty of sitting rooms allowed people to pursue their individual pleasures without putting anyone else out. Two blocks from the beach and boardwalk meant a steady stream of people wandering down to the beach. There were bicycles to ride. You are never far from a bathroom when you're in the house. Virtually everyone expressed delight in the house. It far exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our weekend gathering. Bring sheets and towels but blankets are supplied.

Awesome house. I would rent again.

Plenty of beds, great side yard for some KaM Jam. Kitchens were big and we were able to cook for 20. Loved it.

Classic Beach Experience for the whole family

  • 5 of 5

if you remember when going to the beach meant going to your beach cottage - screened in porches, beds with cotton quilts, mix and match cutlery and coffee cups, and nights spent playing cards and board games - if those are the memories that make you and your family smile - then rent this property!! 119 New Castle has amenities that of course you expect - central air, dishwashers, washer/dryer, several TV's - and in addition it has a charm that few properties in Rehoboth can match. Huge, shaded yard; two outdoor showers, and rooms that actually DO hold 23 people! (We didn't need the futon or the roll-away) It's a 10 minute stroll up to the center of town and a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk and beach just beyond - so you can park your car and forget about it for the week. The house is older, but the fixtures are all modern and updated, and the owner has made sure that each of the rooms has the storage space you need.

We rented this house so we could all be together for a family wedding - the keys were ready as promised, and the house move in ready. We discovered an air conditioner problem in the cottage at 5pm on Fri afternoon - by 8am on Sat the owner had a tech there and the problem was quickly resolved.

I would happily recommend this home for any large family - or large group - looking for a place to reconnect and enjoy Rehoboth life.

Amazing home!

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect beach house for large families! It's within walking distance to the beach/boardwalk/shopping, but just far enough away that you aren't in the middle of the crowds. The downstairs of the main house is perfect for gathering, while the upstairs and separate cottage are perfect for individual families to have privacy when needed. We've been vacationing in Rehoboth for over 30 years and as the family grew we were beginning to outgrow the houses. The included parking parking passes are like gold as parking can be a challenge. The owner is very easy to work with and is very responsive to inquiries.

If you are looking for a multi family home in close proximity to the beach - this is it!
