This apartment is a first class apartment, furnished with exquisite antique furniture and Limoges dishes as a self-catering holiday rental with a pool. It is located in the romantic town of Cassis on the Mediterranean Sea, part of the French Riviera, in the heart of the Provence region. The area is a paradise for vacations. For gamblers, the town has a Casino.
This apartment rental is at a 7 minutes walk from the town center, the Casino & the beaches.
The ocean view from the living room & the balcony is gorgeous: you see the old harbor, the 12th century castle and the 380 meter cliff (Cap Canaille).
Cassis is well known for the Calanques, white cliffs between Cassis and Marseille.
The old harbor is the prettiest harbor on the French Riviera, more so than Saint-Tropez, Bandol, Sanary or Monaco.
This is the perfect holiday apartment for active and romantic travelers. From Cassis, you can visit Aix-en-Provence, the Lubéron, Avignon, Arles, La Camargue, Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Monaco.

Beautiful Apartment in a Magical Setting
We had stayed several years ago so arranged our travels around availability. The apartment is lovely with a floor plan perfect for two couples, giving lots of space and privacy. Everything-cookware, appliances, furniture-are well cared for. The owner has employed the same caretaker for many years and is also readily available via email to address any concerns. The view from the apartment is stunning! Just a few blocks away is a collection of shops where you might buy a roasted chicken, a bottle of wine and a baguette for your first Cassis dinner!
Thank you for such good review. Come again!!
Christmas in Cassis
If you google “Cassis”, as we did before we booked our trip, there is no shortage of photographs showing how beautiful the town is.
If you spend some time looking at reviews of this home, as we did, you’ll find more beautiful pictures.
If you assume, as we did, that you’ll have a picture perfect trip you won’t be wrong!
We traveled as a family of six from
NYC to France for a Christmas and New Year’s holiday. This 3 bedroom 2 1/2bath luxury condo was the perfect place to eat, sleep, and relax.
The condo was clean, spacious, and within short walking distance to a path to the Port and downtown Cassis.
The unobstructed 180 degree view of the Port and Mediterranean Ocean made each morning a joy to get up and savor fresh croissants and coffee on the terrace. This same view provided a perfect backdrop to watch sunsets with wine and conversation.
In addition to the magnificent view, well appointed kitchen, and spacious common area were bedrooms that provided privacy and comfort. There was more than enough storage in each of them for the extra clothes we packed in our suitcases.
The gated entry afforded us peace of mind to ensure that our thoughts were kept on relaxation and exploration rather than if we were safe when at home and our things secure when we traveled.
The location was a perfect home base for exploring Cassis, as well as for day trips to Aix-enProvence, and Marseille. It was also a perfect launching pad for slightly longer trips visiting Nice, Cannes, and Monte Carlo.
We were surprised to find that we spent more time lingering in the luxury condo than we thought we would. We attribute this firstly to the condo feeling more like a home than a sterile and bland hotel. We genuinely enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable couches and contemplating the events of the day at the dinner table.
However we also attribute our lingering in the home as well as in cafes to the Midnight in Paris syndrome that seems to affect many French travelers. Like characters in a movie who, when the clock strikes 12, find themselves transported to another place; we found that one cappuccino become two, two glasses of wine became two bottles, and two hour lunches became four hour places of conversation.
...we aren’t sure how this happened, but we’re grateful it did!
Two cheers for this luxury condo. 2 1/2 baths and 3 bedrooms were the perfect equation for our family of six to make a picture perfect trip.
Thank you Martin for this exceptionally nice review.
See you soon.
Fabulous view and no disappointments
The view from the spacious deck is staggering. He apartment is a great place to vacation with family or guests. Everything is accurately described. The kitchen is well appointed and functional. The lack of a clothes dryer is is no problem because the laundry lines work so well and avoid the long delay dual washer/dryers build into multiple washes. The beds are comfortable. All the information you need has been spelled out. Cassis is a great place for a vacation what with so much to do, fabulous food and, did I mention the view? We would have appreciated fans as our stay coincided with an unusual hot spell. So, all I have to complain about is unusual weather.
Thank you. Did you mention the view?
We stayed at the apartment during late May and early June 2017.
It is spacious and well equipped. Its best feature is the fantastic view across the bay.
Town is about 10-minute walk down a steep hill, so it does take a little longer to get back!
Roland was very helpful and the whole rental process ran very smoothly.
Thank you, Celia. It was a pleasure to have you and hope to see you again, soon.
Great Time in Cassis
Walking out on the balcony morning looking over the city of Cassis was price list. The apartment was extremely well represented. Roland was the a fantastic host. Every detailed was cover from working the appliances in the property to best vineyards to visit. Even the neighbors were friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Thank you for your fantastic review.
Top of the line ocean-view Cassis apartment
The apartment was what we expected and beyond - the view of the ocean and of Cassis was exceptional (beyond the picture). The apartment was well kept and clean, with responsive concierge service. The owner (Roland Autran)was very cordial and very responsive to all of our queries - provided us very comprehensive information on all aspects of the apartment. For a family of five, this was a very comfortable place with lots to do - hiking, biking, boating, beach and pool, day-trips in the Provence region. We would definitely recommend this apartment and Cassis to friends and relatives. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Thank you, Christine.
I hope to see you again, soon.
Cassis is located near Marseille (a 7th BC Phocean colony) in Provence. You will find Aix and Avignon nearby where summer music and dance festivals are held. Cassis is surrounded by 'The Calanques', a national park, white cliffs around fingers of deep blue water. The Calanques are a perfect place to hike and have an afternoon picnic and bath in a secluded cove. Cassis produces a well known and delicious white wine. Also, twice a week you can go in the center of town to the local outside market for fresh produces. Most week-end, there are art expositions by local artists: painting, pottery. This beautiful apartment overlook the little harbor, the view is gorgeous. If you are interested with hiking, please let me know because I have documented a number of very interesting hikes.
